I am so happy with the quality of my child's Pre k class. Ms. Cayce and Ms. Kadian are great with them and my daughter is always happy!

Show Me Love Learning Academy

When I first walked into the infant classroom, a teacher was playing music that was completely inappropriate for babies. Then, in the 3-4-year-old room, I noticed teachers being downright impolite to the children. I understand using a firm voice when needed, but they were speaking to these kids as if they were adults, without any consideration for age-appropriate communication. It was uncomfortable to watch. What shocked me most was how phones were out during nap time instead of staff helping children settle down and rest. The director seemed to play favorites and turned a blind eye to the chaos. I've never seen such carelessness or fake behavior in a childcare setting. One moment that truly disturbed me was when a little boy mentioned "just like Squid Games" during an activity, and Ms. James shouted at him in anger. The child didn't say anything wrong--he was just making an observation. Then there was a teacher who said, out loud, that a child "might have a yeast infection" because she was itchy. That's incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional. To make things worse, I was left alone in classrooms with children I had never met before, without any proper schedule or introduction. That's not only unsafe, but it's also unfair to both the kids and the staff. I introduced myself the best I could, but no one supported me or helped ease the transition. Some of the staff might be decent, but from what I observed, they weren't welcoming or helpful. It felt like the bare minimum was being done. I also noticed they were preparing food without gloves, using children's restrooms (which I later found out is illegal), and those same bathroom doors don't lock--so any child could walk in while an adult is using the restroom. To use a proper bathroom, staff would have to walk across to another building, which could leave classrooms over ratio. On top of that, no one answers the door when you knock. There were just too many violations in one day for me to stay quiet. I'm genuinely tempted to report them to the state. Those kids looked scared to be there, and no child should ever feel that way in a place that's supposed to care for and educate them. Parents, please be careful. Don't be fooled by a fake smile. Some of these places are unsafe, and they'll gaslight you if you speak up. Stay aware and protect your kids. It could never be me

I was so excited to connect with Mrs. James she's amazing but I can't wait until she opens her own facility. My daughter suffered from dyslexia but overcame so many obstacles with working with her. I wish there were more amazing teachers like you and I'm so fortunate to have you in me and my daughter life. Please reach out for more opportunities

On July 17th I received a text from the messaging app that school would be open on Monday. When I dropped my son off on Monday, July 20th, I was told that the was not allowed to be there until he got tested for Covid-19. I rebut that I would not be getting him tested for Covid-19, then I was told that it was ok for him to be there BUT I would have to pick him up soon if no kids showed up for the day. At the last minute, ON MY FIRST DAY OF WORK, I was late because I had to quickly make arrangements for him to be picked up. I've expressed to 3 staff members that the only reason I enrolled him was because I started a new job. None of them really seemed to be that friendly, but I decided to give them a chance. The school was closed partially the first week of his enrollment and the 2nd week it was closed because one of the teachers caught Covid-19. How is that fair for a parent to still pay for a week when it was involuntary that the child wasn't there? At the last minute I was told that I had to pay for two weeks - one of which my son was NOT there because I was TOLD by the staff that he COULD NOT be there because 1) He hadn't been tested for COVID; and 2) there wouldn't be any kids there. I found another daycare for him with people who seem to actually care about him. There are other businesses that are giving people a break due to the pandemic and this feels like poor customer service. I am extremely disappointed the way the staff handled this. I'm being given information while dropping my son off in the morning on my way to work. All of these communications are done in the presence of other teachers talking and perusing, which makes it very uncomfortable. The last two Mondays haven't been a smooth transition and I have to go to an office frazzled because of my experiences with this facility. The lack of communication disrupted my work schedule and didn't allow me to plan properly - which also leaves my son in a confused mental space that he's not going to school after preparing that morning for a full day learning and playing with his new friends.
