Glovers is by far the best of a notoriously unreliable market. Michael Glover always gives you a personal service and provides useful hints and tips on the best way to present your home for selling. He knows the local housing market inside out and I don't think there is a property type he hasn't bought or sold over the years. He's also up front, for example when he sold one of our previous properties that was a little unusual-he admitted he wasn't sure where to pitch the selling price. I really like their Internet site. The property pictures usually reflect the true nature of the property and I have never found them misleading. The same can be said for the property details, minimal estate agent flannel. Glovers let the property sell itself.

The woman behind the desk also seemed to know her stuff, which is always reassuring, and the office walls were peppered with various certificates. Again, reassuring. She wrote out some extra properties for me which they had only just acquired, which seemed a bit more up my street, which was nice. Their administration charges seem a bit odd though: £150 per property. Which is fine if you're a group of 4 or 5 students wanting to share (which is perhaps who this agency is primarily aiming at) but if you're a single person it's pretty steep...

I am now currently renting a property by metropolitan and the service is great when I had a problem with my heater I rang there maintenance company and someone come round a day later which was shocking as previous letting agency made me wait over 2 weeks. I contacted Oulsnams to view some properties in the Kings Heath area because I wanted to develop an understanding of the market and the property I could be buying into. The service I received here was exemplary from the start to the finish. The staff I dealt with had a good approach towards sales, they were not too pushy. They were happy to show me numerous properties in the area and they met me at times that I requested. I didn't end up buying some where, but I may do in the future. If this is the case I would be more than happy to do business with this agents.

They keep you informed about all the chain when they can. The shop layout is very good and you feel comfortable browsing the houses for sale. No parking nearby so you will need to go to the public car parks around the corner.

This estate agents gets points, however, for finally sending someone who actually knows something about the property out to show us round - which made a real difference. It was nice to be able to have some, if not all, our questions answered. She also came prepared with various forms, fees and we didn't feel rushed through the property either. On purely a customer service level this seemed to be one of the best estate agent experiences we've had whilst looking for a place to rent. It's just a shame that we were left standing the the rain for 10 minutes before the member of staff actually turned up to show us round.
