He came out quickly, was extremely thorough while trying to keep cost low, and is familiar with biotoxin illness, which was super refreshing! He even recommended a few doctors I could see. We purchased our home in 2021, and the radon test at time of purchase was 3.7pCi/L. We decided to…read morere-test in September 2025, and the result was 6.4pCi/L. It is recommended to install a radon mitigation system for values that exceed 4.0pCi/L. After receiving 5 estimates (some from vendors that didn't want to visit our home), we settled on Genesis Radon. Adam came out, inspected our basement and walked the perimeter of our home. He has 18+ years of experience, is an Ohio licensed radon specialist and contractor. He is a member of various industry groups, and is Better Business Bureau "A+" Accredited. And this is important because as I researched other radon mitigation bids, some had BBB complaints. Genesis Radon had no complaints. He also offers multiple warranties: Lifetime effectiveness warranty means your values will always be at or below 3.9pCi/L; a 30-year workmanship warranty, and a 5-year manufacturer's warranty on the mitigation fan. After installing our system, Adam set up his radon testing equipment and ran a test for 3 days. The result? We are UNDER 1.0pCi/L. (Had some damage to foundation). He came out right away which was nice. Looked at our basement took our inspection report from when we had our home inspected when we bought it in 2015. Never heard from him again. He told our contractor to go ahead and knock the ceiling and wall out so he could get some better looks at the upstairs part. Never showed back up. Stopped returning phone calls and/or emails. From the contractor and from us. My husband had to drive to pick the inspection report back up off his desk just today. Which makes it about almost four weeks he has had it. Can't believe he expects us to just live like this for a month after telling the contractor to demolish a ceiling and wall. And now our room is unlivable. I will never refer anyone to this company. It would take nothing to return a phone call or email even to say you are busy and backed up. But not to hear anything is just so unprofessional.
