I originally started seeing Dr. Hanumadla over a year ago because I had to switch insurances as I…read morebecame old enough to where I couldn't be seen by my parents' doctor at Holloman AFB anymore. The first time I came for a checkup and prescription refill, Dr. Hanumandla told me I was too young for my medications (which doesn't make sense as I was 24 and had already been taking them for over four years). I was surprised and slight mortified, but brushed that comment off since she was my newly appointed doctor. Fast forward to present day: I currently live out of state for grad school, but made it back to Alamogordo to visit my parents for the holidays. I stopped in to see Dr. Hanumandla for another prescription refill. For some reason, I had to have my blood drawn (which Dr. Hanumandla wouldn't tell me why I needed) before I could have my refill. Okay, so I fasted and did that. She also told me I had to comeback for "further work" in order to receive my refill. Confused, I came back with my mother (directly after I had my blood drawn) to ask again for my prescription to be refilled. Behind the glass, I could see Dr. Hanumandla coming in for paperwork. Once she saw were asking to speak with her at the front desk, Dr. Handumandla walked away, refusing to see us. The lady at the front desk told us to wait. My mother and I ended up waiting for over half an hour.Admittedly I was hungry and a bit impatient from fasting. When the lady at the front desk asked me to reschedule another appointment for a refill. I stated that I didn't see what the point was to have another appointment just for a prescription refill. The front desk woman agreed with me and went to ask Dr. Hanumandla for her signature to refill my prescriptions. We waited more than another half hour to be called up by the front desk woman and be told that the "good" doctor literally told to tell me that she had to "think" about it. Excuse me??! I go back to school in a week, and honestly can't waste time jumping from appointment to appointment just for a simple prescription refill that just needs her signature. After hearing this, my mother became very upset and loudly asked to see the doctor, as we seen her shuffling around the corner. However, Dr. Hanumandla refused to speak to us, again! Thankfully, another doctor, Dr. Anireddy, ended up coming over to calm down my mother. Dr. Anireddy even helped convince Dr. Hanumandla to give me refills on my medication. When the front desk woman came back, she told me Dr. Hanumandla said that this was the "last time" she will refill my prescriptions. I honestly can't comprehend why any doctor would simply walk away and refuse to even have a word with her patients! It's very rude, hurtful, immature and overall unprofessional how Dr. Hanumandla treated my mother and I, and in front of so many witnesses in the waiting room. I will no longer be seeing her as my physician. Please, for your sake, find ANY doctor other than Dr. Hanumandla!!

I don't know how to start sharing this comments on this section!…read moreBut I hope this will serve to the Administrators in that Hospital, which in fact it is a beautiful building, that they make take an action on this. Why this beautiful hospital do not have an Infection Disease Dr., specialist?? why???? why?? We have to go every single time to El Paso in Texas or in the best scenario to the only one Dr. in Las Cruces?? This is totally ridiculous, because not only will benefit patients from Alamogordo, Ruidoso and other surrounding cities, that may benefit to have a Infectious Disease Specialist. And moreover if that professional come here, which is a beautiful town, he will find not only a beautiful place to work, having his private practice and find a beautiful home to live with his family and have a clean and nice Office to see his clients here. Just pay attention to this information. I am a Social Worker and a Psychologist retired already. We need desperately an Infection Disease Dr., who may treat all variety of infections diseases, like TB, Pertussis, Covid, HIV/Aids, in between to many others diseases. Please Drs., pay a full attention to this message.! We will love to have one here in Alamogordo, New Mexico. You will be very satisfied living here and for sure your income will be surprising you, because not only you will have recognitions as the only one here, but you will be rich for sure. Regards.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! You sure can tell that the employees here…read moreare only here to get a paycheck. I have never received such horrible service and lack of care. They lie and document they call you when you never get a call or have a voicemail to confirm their lie. It takes nearly three weeks to get a medication refilled from their behavioral medicine department.... Which is the one dept you would expect to find a solid helpful care in. Pathetic.
