Please parents I beg you not to send your children here. This is long, but please take the time to read it.
This family business is really just a bunch of bullies. I should of listened to my gut in the beginning. Especially when in the first few weeks the daughter of one of the "teachers" pushed my daughter and the response from the teacher/mom to my daughter was "push her back". That same teacher never had one nice thing to say about my child and one day when I picked my child up and she was crying and I asked why the teacher responded "I don't know she wasn't listening all day". Later, when in the bathtub I noticed there were scratches all behind my child's ear, and my child told me it was because that teachers daughter pulled her hair and "scratched and scratched and scratched" her. And that explained it all.... and no one noticed because most of the staff is totally disengaged. I bit my tongue because my child was getting ready to move up in classrooms, and my child wouldn't have to interact with that teacher anymore.
She moved into Miss Rachel's class and Miss Rachel is excellent with the children and the only reason I let my child ride out her last week, she loved Rachel. But you can see she isn't really supported (I actually can't even count how many aides have been in that classroom) and she is one person, and can't do it all and stretched very thin. ( Rachel- if you read this, you should run! Your talents will be so much more appreciated elsewhere- there are better jobs out there I promise!!) So there really is zero communication and you are never notified when there is a change in the classroom, but you know your child still can't be human and have a negative response to constant change and poorly trained staff.
Due to the lack of assistance / sometimes no assistance, the safety and well being of the children are at risk. I observed a teacher sending a 2 1/2- maybe 3 year old child into the bathroom ALONE! Which a complete violation of licensing standards. A child must be in eyesight of an adult. So this child was sent into the bathroom by herself, and as I was helping my child get her things together to go home, the child came to me to help her with her clothes. When I tried to help her with her jacket I realized she had peed her pants. The little girl had an accident because an adult did not help her to the restroom. How sad.
This is something you could never approach administrators about. Hayley
is the absolute most unprofessional person I have ever met. Having worked with small children before I can tell you if her parents didn't build that business for her to have a job, she would never make it out in the real world. She has absolutely no skills at speaking to parents. She stated she and her staff was scared to tell me about incidents at school ( there were only 2, and 1 report she didn't even give me, it was given by an aide). You know what she is scared of? An educated parent. When I approached about another issue, she began yelling, and was so nasty and flailed her arms around like a child having a meltdown. She stated they like to "sandwich" information, meaning state a positive, then a negative, then another positive, but sometimes "there is nothing nice to say" about my child. Really? You can't find one nice thing to say about a toddler in a day? You dear, are one miserable person. And how are children suppose to learn social emotional skills or self regulation from someone who has none herself?
Don't let the "family business" line fool you, this business is founded on nepotism and that is the only reason Hayley is in a "directors" position is because this is a family business. She would never be in that kind of position at any other facility due to her nasty attitude and inadequate communication skills.
Please parents if you can, look elsewhere! read more
