Called Minute Men Movers a week and a half ahead of our move to book. I called they said they were running late, but couldn't give a reason why. Said they would arrive before 10, again, no show. Called again.....by 11 still no show and the guy on the phone told me "Quit calling and asking Lady, they will get there when they get there"!!! I then proceeded to call another moving company, who graciously called in some employees to be able to get there by noon and actually do the move. In between the hour for the new company (Stress Free Movers, they were amazing) to get there, Minute Men moving guys show up even though I called to tell them they were cancelled and NOT doing the job. I told them to just head back to their office. 20 minutes after I sent them away I get a call saying the new movers were here, I bring them up to the apt. and ask if they are from Stress Free, guy says yes, then goes over the move and tells me the exact address we are going to. STRESS FREE MOVERS DOES NOT HAVE THE EXACT ADDRESS AS OF YET!! I ask the guy how he knows that and question if they are REALLY from Minute Men?? The guy says no and says he will go get a business card to show me. As he heads out the door, I call Stress Free who assures me his guys just now left the warehouse and are NOT at my place yet. I look out the window and I see the three guys from Minute Men speeding away in their truck!!! Can't even believe they tried to pull off the scam!!!

He sold us furniture he assured came from a luxuriant condo (we were shown gorgeous photos), however, we did not inspect when he delivered it because we trusted his word. Shortly after he left we inspected the furniture and we uncovered the mattresses which were described at USED LIKE NEW only to discover were 30+ years old per the Serra label!!! Yes they were Sertas but are you kidding me?! Like new? This furniture looked nothing like the photos and he promised they were like new before delivering them to us. All of the sudden, this devout saved man who says he's a follower of Jesus Christ turned into a Judas! Judas stole money from Jesus and his ministry and Shawn's doing the same of our communities. I offered to return everything for a refund which he flat out refused and after days and days as well as empty promises, he sends me photos of mattress replacements of beds with urine stains everywhere (see photos). From photos of what he was selling and what we received is a damned shame! He finally agreed to refund some of the money then disappeared again. Im so close to calling his pastor and letting him know one of his flock is astray and ripping people off! Looks like I'm out of all of my money and we are left with no guest beds. Pretty sad since my husband and I are seniors and haven't worked in over a year due to health and moving to Florida. Shawn needs to study up and practice what he preaches. What comes around goes around it's in black in white in the greatest book of all time, the Gospels. However, they damaged my former apartment walls and banisters, as well as a new wall in my new apartment and Many items. I had them specifically marked fragile. They like to put everything on a dolly and move it down the steps and they make a lot of noise, and they made a lot of errors. I had to endure the owner getting into an argument with someone he hired for the day, they had to stop the job, while leaving my personal property in the middle of my stairwell until I told him they had to put it back into my apartment. He came back two hours later with another worker. While they worked hard and fast...DAMAGE!!!! I think it would be beneficial for the owner, Marvin, to learn to be more professional, learn to speak to his clients properly, and don't take 1 million phone calls from new clients while you're still working and on the clock for your client that has hired you for the day. I am most upset that the attitude of nonchalant was very present. I worked hard for my belongings, no broken items, I have to pay to apartment buildings for the damage that they did. I would say this. If you have like just a couch or just one or two items to move, then, yes use them but for any big jobs you're asking for a disaster and you're not going to be happy. Oh I'm sorry. Did I mention that the owner provided my personal business to my neighbor downstairs . Real professional, not. Go with college hunks or Anderson moving going forward. But of course that's your choice and if you want your stuff messed up and you want someone who gives you an attitude, then stay with On Shore! So, so disappointing! Also, please be advised that he is going to insist and push you towards zelling him. He will try and tell you that there are large processing fees for using a credit card. The fee was only $30. That's nothing. I feel as though he wants to be receiving the cash because he knows of his inconsistency and the goal is to hurry up and get the job done and collect the money and who cares what happens to your stuff along the way.
