Anyways I notice when going to work early morning my Chevy Trailblazer (Who I named Old Faithful) was reving really hard. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. After my vehicle was inspected and work completed I am adding additional information to my post. I feel that their service/evaluation was thorough, and their communication throughout the process was exemplary. They are going to do follow up work on my brakes and I will see how that goes. They have a small lounge area, but the seating is comfortable and there is a tiny fireplace, nice to have on a cold rainy day, I was almost disappointed they finished with the car so quickly! They said that was partly because it was in such good shape that there wasn't a lot to investigate, so very good news. The other thing I noticed was that I was treated with respect and given a rundown of the results. This has not always been my experience as an older female at other places.
