He also printed out forms and envelopes for our state and federal quarterlies, along with forms and envelopes for our 2024 tax liabilities. Great service. TurboTax does this too, of course, but it was taking me two full days to get everything they way I thought it should be, and then another half a day with my wife looking over my shoulder to make certain we were submitting accurate returns ... hours of utter stress. Ron was pleasant and seemed knowledgeable and helpful. He is no more expensive than H&R block. I think if you're a business, you've got to have a working bathroom. We've been coming to Tom Cole for over a decade now. Each time we've come there's been little…read morethings that are bothersome - disrespect that a woman could actually be a doctor, laughing when we try to write off student loan interest, impatience at times as we're struggling to go through all the documents. Little things that could be forgiven. Today was hands down the worst experience. We finished up with Monica, signed our paperwork, paid our fees and on our way. Left for the first time actually in high spirits. Less than ten minutes after leaving we get a call that a mistake was made and we now owe the IRS $1300 more and will be getting less of a return from state. Because of the mistake that she made, not us, we also now owe a $44 penalty. Tom redid our return but we had to wait for an hour and he had very little sympathy for what we just went through. We go to the "experts" to help make the tedious process of filing taxes easier and less confusing. Instead we get zero compassion, no accountability, and condescending comments.
