After years of using TurboTax, it finally became so difficult to use that we went searching for a CPA to do our taxes. The first three we tried were not worthy, but Rick is beyond amazing. On our first visit, I thought he was just going over our documents and entering our contact information into his system. All the while, we were having wonderful conversations about this, that, and the other thing. After about 45 minutes, he stood up and went to the printer to retrieve our completed tax returns, which he had already filed electronically. He also printed out forms and envelopes for our state and federal quarterlies, along with forms and envelopes for our 2024 tax liabilities. Great service. TurboTax does this too, of course, but it was taking me two full days to get everything they way I thought it should be, and then another half a day with my wife looking over my shoulder to make certain we were submitting accurate returns ... hours of utter stress. Having Rick crank out our returns in what seemed like record time was such a relief, and such a weight off. The experience was so incredible, I'm going to miss seeing him until we do this again next year. read more

Well....I am not one that usually writes a review however, with the recent events and situation my husband and I had with the IRS and how Mr. Ardito was by are side in every aspect I think it is warranted. A few months ago we received a letter from the IRS that we were being audited for a specific portion of our taxes from 2013 and that we owed the IRS money.....yup, a tax return from 5 years ago!! Now in 2013, Mr. Ardito did not prepare our tax return, it was another individual. But at the time time of the letter Mr. Ardito was our CPA. I called Mr. Ardito in a panic because lets be honest.....no one wants to mess with the IRS. Not that we had anything to hide, I just freaked out because a.) our preparer for the time they are requesting was no longer in business b.) never been audited and my mind went to the worst c.) I had no idea what to do, how to prepeare for for an audit of taxes that were 5 years prior let alone that the prepare was no longer here to fight on our behalf. I could go on but that is just to name a few. After several minutes of should we say "freaking out" over the phone, Mr. Ardito assured me even though he did not prepare our taxes at that time, he will be beside us every step of the way through the audit. He did just that!!!! After numerous correspondence with the IRS requesting specific items (which Mr. Ardito walked us through) which the IRS was truly nit-picking......we provided evey little thing (receipts etc..) they requested and them some. During this time Mr. Ardito wrote a letter to the IRS on our behalf. They still requested some specifics which were truly "assnine" in all sense of the word. Now, by this time my husband and I were jumping through hoops and truly felt like we were just being harrased especially proving every little aspect on our return like they requested. Again Mr. Ardito assured us that he is with us to the end. Mr. Ardito again wrote another letter to the IRS addressing each issue one by one in depth and detailed. Shortly after the last letter Mr. Ardito wrote to the IRS, my husband and I received a letter from them. The letter we received stated that the audit is no longer active and that they find in our favor. Which is a complete change from thier original claim until they received the last letter from Mr. Ardito. I truly feel it was with the knowledge, competence and professionalism of Mr. Ardito and the way he addressed them in the letter that solved our issue and got them of our backs. What truly impressed me the most is that he fought for us even when we were not his clients at the time in question. Mr. Ardito, thank you for all that you have done for my husband and I, we are forever grateful. I hope you never retire, because CPA's like you are truly a rare breed! I've had the pleasure of using Rick for my personal and business taxes for 4 years now. I was previously getting 1099 as a contractor, then converted to a FTE, he helped ensure I had the right amount of money set aside for quarterly taxes, and each year we were almost spot on. My wife also had a small part time business she ran, which he advised us financially for tax support. He has helped meet me in person, on the phone and through email, and also helped file in multiple states (as I had moved twice). We were referred to Mr. Ardito for tax preparation by a friend after the sale of a house. Two years in a row we had him prepare our taxes and here were are a year later and the IRS has found numerous mistakes that he made on our behalf that have cost us over $5k to fix. After speaking with him, he took no responsibility nor did he offer to refund us the $200 EACH YEAR that he messed up. These were not mistakes where he was trying to get us more money by "finding exemptions" as other CPA's sometimes do. These were paperwork mistakes. We took all of our paperwork and he failed to enter/report it. We didn't double check at the time because he came highly recommended and we trusted that for $200 he knew what he was doing. But he didn't. If we weren't fiscally responsible people I have no idea how we would be able to pay back the IRS for his mistakes. Please don't trust this guy with your finances, especially your taxes. read more
