He just reupholstered a chair for us and the quality of the workmanship is terrific. The seams look great and we got all new cushions that feel very nice. I shopped around a couple of other local folks, and Jay had the best price and could get the work done pretty quickly. He is also extremely friendly and has an amazing memory. The location is tucked away down a gravel road, but the map marker will get you to the driveway. I am pretty sure he will also do pick-up and delivery if yo have larger pieces.

He was very pleasant to work with, returned calls quickly and the work was done in the amount of time (2 weeks) and for the price he quoted me. We dropped off & picked up the ottoman ourselves. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Shambley's to my friends for similar work. Agree with previous reviewer's notes regarding the location - it's back on Shakori Trail (gravel rd), not on Erwin Rd.

I called CJC Upholstery to see if they could turn the trick. They came the very next day and the sofa was fixed within the hour. Quick, cordial and all business; just what the doctor ordered, and the cost was quite reasonable. What actually happened was that the thread had deteriorated causing the seam to fail. Well, gee, the piece is probably 25 or so years old, but nobody has to know that. And Yuzu (my cat) is back to frolicking with the couch. But we decided to keep the old sheet that was covering the damaged section of the sofa in place, since it is already well ripped! We are all very happy with the fix, the price and the people who did the repair. And I have no doubts about calling them in the future. Thank you ever so much.
