Educated us and provided a very reasonable plan. I like how she lives in the real world and doesn't try to scare you into thinking you have to do everything she says or else..... And she helped very much so with the mental blocks associated changing dietary habits. She told us she has a Masters in counselling, and I definitely believe it! Definitely recommend her!

If you look through my profile you'll see I RARELY leave a one star review- almost a decade on…read moreYelp, 3 years of those as Yelp Elite and tons of reviews total, I've only left 3- one star reviews.. This place deserves so much worse than just a bad review.. I was GROSSLY misled by what I thought to be a trustworthy doctor. I went in for my first visit back in June and was told by Dr Brewer and his insurance nurse that if I would allow them to do an endoscopy they could tell insurance I had a hiatal hernia. With a diagnosis of hiatal hernia, they could utilize my insurance to cover the facility fees, bringing the total for a bypass to approximately $6500 out of pocket. So I agreed to undergo the endoscopy.. After the endoscopy I was somehow told they could not provide a total cost for the surgery up front, instead I was instructed that I must fulfill all of these costly pre-requisites before I could be given a price. By the time I had completed all of the requisites (beginning of September), the originally quoted price of $6500 jumped to over $10.5k! But the worst part was, I had bills coming in worth thousands on top of that quoted price just from the prerequisite procedures! The prerequisite procedures were elaborate and VERY invasive, they cost thousands of dollars and when I reminded them that I said from the very first visit that I couldn't afford $10,000+ they said I never mentioned anything like that, even denied quoting me $6500.. unfortunately they're very cunning and kept everything "off record" so I'm left with thousands of dollars in medical bills for a procedure I cannot afford! None of this sounds "normal" to anyone I tell.. I wonder if there is any sort of recourse I could seek to cover the thousands in bills I have for no reason whatsoever?

Before I came to the North Texas Clinical Weight Loss Center, I felt self-conscious about my…read moreappearance, and didn't like the way I looked in my clothes. I had tried all types of diet programs, diet supplements, powders, and fat burners, and nothing worked. I even thought about weight loss surgery options until my insurance denied me. Then I decided to do some research on my own on how I could get the help I needed to succeed in my weight loss battle. I decided to meet with Mark and Christina at the North Texas Clinical Weight Loss Center. I immediately felt relaxed and ready to take on this new adventure. They both explained everything in detail, to help me understand the tools I needed to get started. Christina has been a patient herself and lost over 50lbs and has kept it off. This made me want to be just as successful as she was. I jumped right in and started my journey on October 31st. As Mark would say "The Holiday's start on Halloween." I lost weight so quickly! In the first week I was down 7 lbs. I loved that I had tons of food choices and I was never hungry. The key is to count, count, count those calories and stick to your calorie budget! That combined with drinking TONS of water will get rid of those unwanted pounds. It has now been 5 & 1/2 months since I joined the clinic and I have lost 61 lbs! Now I feel great about myself and I can't wait to go shopping for a new wardrobe. My Husband says he feels like we are dating again. I get so many compliments and everyone wants to know how I did it. So here I am writing this AWESOME review. So stop imagining what you could look like and do something about it! Trust me, if I can do it ANYONE can do it. I'm not just saying that. I truly mean it. Lose weight the healthy way! I have to thank Mark and Christina for always being so supportive and encouraging us to do our weekly weigh-in's and B-12 shots. This helps tremendously and holds me accountable for my weight loss success. Once I reach my weight loss goal of 75 lbs, I will be able to maintain on my own. I will always continue to visit the clinic weekly for weigh-in's and my B-12 shot to help keep me motivated. Thank you NTCWLC!!! Sincerely, Lisa F.

Review for B-12 shots - 1st visit of 6…read more For the most part, I enjoyed my first visit. It is a doctor's office environment (not a spa) and the staff seems efficient at their jobs although they do need to keep their voices down when complaining about patients...they probably don't realize just how much their voices carry into the lobby. No worries...they didn't violate HIPA - they were not using a name. Groupon: I bought a Groupon that includes the shots + a body scan (which is similar to standing on a scale but it reads your body) that provides information such as body fat % and BMI, among other things. **feel free to PM me if you want to know more** After the body scan, the dietitian took me to a treatment room to review the scan results. The guy was really in shape so I imagine he knows his stuff but I felt he had a very difficult time communicating the information to me. I have pharmaceutical experience so it wasn't like he was speaking over my level, he just needs to practice his delivery or something. Anyway, I left feeling slightly overwhelmed at how much he talked AT me but I guess it's better than not having any consultation. I will hold my decision until I've had multiple visits He administered the shot to my hip which was rather painless. Subsequently, I had itching, it's been sore and numb for 2 weeks. I've yet to go back for another shot to allow the side effects to subside. I can't definitively attribute the symptoms to the shot (even though the symptoms are in the shot area) because it felt like I was bitten by something but it never bruised it was only red and swollen. Anyway, I will discuss it with the practitioner on my next visit and report back to y'all. BTW: I take the Slim Shot from Diet by Design in my arm and have the typical soreness but have not had any side effects after 6 shots. Lastly, they gave me a take home folder with a copy of my scan and said we would track my results. Impressive.
