We rolled into Slim Chickens in Farmington not expecting much--just needed something quick and easy--but it actually turned out to be a solid little meal. The chicken was fresh and crispy, not overly greasy like you sometimes get at fast food joints. The fried pickles were probably my favorite part--perfectly tangy with that light, crunchy breading. We got a couple different dipping sauces to try, and those added a nice kick of variety. It wasn't anything mind-blowing, but for the price and convenience, it was better than expected. Clean dining area, quick service, and the food came out hot. If you're passing through and want something satisfying without spending a ton, this place gets the job done. Got the grab N go for my family and I. Was about to dig in and my first bite of the Mac and cheese I pulled out a long black springy hair from my mouth. Throw up and called the store. Who ever answered the phone proceeded to argue with me for 4 whole mins then finally offered to replace my Mac and cheese. But I refused Because all I wanted to do was notify them. Chicken was dryer than the surface of Mars, the spicy rub on the spicy tenders tasted minty, how the hell do you make something spicy taste minty? That's like making dr.pepper taste like water. Absolutely disappointed! I ordered a large ice water on the side before i came to the window and she gave me a medium. I politely asked the girl working at the window if i could get a large water like I ordered. She said "hold on" and went to go ask the manager behind her with black hair and eyeliner said she would have to charge me for a large fyi should've been 50 cents or a dollar at most! I told her that's okay and i could pay the difference+ i was going to give them a tip for my apologies of wanting a bigger water. surprisingly instead the manager said to charge me 3.23$ for a large ice water. Keep in mind I ordered at least three of their cake jars and a shake and i specifically told her a large water while she was taking my order. 4.5 stars I was pleasantly surprised by Slim Chickens after poor customer service made me head over here from another chicken chain in town. We both got the kid's meals, which comes with a sauce, your choice of a drink, fries or applesauce, Texas toast, and 2 pieces of chicken (which was more than enough even compared to another popular chicken joint). The chicken was a little plain, but came out hot, fast, and juicy. I love ranch, but I wish I would've tried one of their unique sauces like the garlic parmesan. The store was clean and reminded me of being at a southern restaurant. The jar desserts looked really good. My service through drive through was absolutely preposterous, I had to wait 25 minutes as well as having to put up with the unprofessional attitude such as giggling on the mic while I was placing my order via drive through, the time I had to wait was so unacceptable that the car ahead of me had to knock on the windowjust to get their order and when I had gotten my food which was the wrap, It was comparable to eating stale cardboard, the bread was an awful quality and far too stale and the lettuce, cheese and chicken weren't much better. Popped in here with a friend since we were recommended this place, the first thing I'd like to mention is the amazing customer service. I'd say I was being a bit of a nuisance as a customer as for reasons I cannot I explain I thought the chicken was vegan, the worker met this with kindness and patience as she thoughtfully explained how their chicken is in fact not vegan. I ate the 4 tender meal with the slim sauce which tasted fantastic and the food was completely fresh! This restaurant is fine as far as food goes, but the employees and management are a crock of crap. They don't have a good prep team. The prep team is full of excuses for not coming to work, either because of transportation issues or other things. Management refuses to reprimand anyone for no call no shows, and the good people get reprimanded for working hard. The rest of the crew is the same way, unprofessional and not worthy of working there. When we were trained everything went smoothly, but then they started running things separately. Team work is a thing of the past anymore. You can't find it anywhere. Management doesn't help their team out. They just complain about everything. This is wrong. read more

Slim Chickens for lunch. Today's tenders were a little tough. Overall meal was good, Chicken Tenders and fried mushrooms. I was there just before lunch rush so restaurant was not very busy, employees were friendly and service was good. They dumped my mushrooms on the floor so I had to wait on replacements, not a big deal but a delay none the less. Wings we're dry and fries were cold, my wrap that I order was the Smokey Cheddar Wrap, at the speaker the lady said the slim wrap, got to the window ask them to repeat back my order again just to make sure.
