This mural is the work of Chicago-based artist Janson Rapisarda, who goes by name CERA professionally who intended to catch a brief moment in time of life in public transit. CERA completed the mural as part of Wabash Walls 3. It depicts a woman lounging on what appears to be the seats of the city train while listening to music on her headphones. She has her bike by her side and is facing someone sitting across from her with a motorcycle helmet and reading a tablet. You will see a paper airplane between them. It is a very colorful mural and the artwork is nice and very detailed. It is a somewhat busy piece though with a lot going on in certain areas. It is also very colorful and attention getting. Definitely worth a peak.
The mural overlooks a parking lot, so it is easy to park and get a closer look at the mural. It also means that the lower part of the mural may be obstructed though. I ended up parking on the street. Anyway, as with most sculptures that I have visited and reviewed, this is not a long stop. I was there less than 5 minutes. So, you may want to consider planning out additional stops at many of the other attractions in the area, or making this stop part of a larger itinerary to maximize your time and trip. There are a ton of murals in the immediate area to check out. read more
