I have been to this place perhaps ten times in the last two months. Run…read more by a passionate young man, Luca, with his roots in the local restaurant trade. The menu is pizza, pasta or ciabbatta. There are ten types of differnet pasta dishes Napoli, Ragu, Arrabiatta, Carbonara, Funghi, Diavola, Contadina, Caprese, Pollo and Carbonara della casa. The choice of pasta is spaghetti or penne. All of these dishes are cooked with his own homemade sauces. I particularly enjoy the Caprese which comes with tomato, mozzeralla and home made pesto. Delicious. The cheapest is the Napoli at £3.50 through to the Carbonara della casa at 4.95. So for under a fiver one gets a heaving bowl of fresh tasty food. There are 17 different varieties of pizza ranging in price from 3.35 for a basic Margherita to 5.00 for a Maya which is a mix of meats. The crust is thin and crispy. He prepares the pizza to order and they are cooked in a proper pizza oven. Drinks wise the usual suspects are there but what makes this place special is the quality of the coffee beans he uses. The espresso is the best I have had in town. This is the perfect place to come for a light meal when in town and the greasy spoon does not appeal. It can get a little tight with just over room for twenty in there. There is a table outside but not in this weather. No toilets that I am aware of. A very Cosmopolitan crowd and very popular with the local Italian community which is always a good sign.
