I love this little 'slice' of heaven (pardon the pun but couldn't resist)! Another fab local business within the popular Grainger Market. I always used to wonder what the long queue was for at lunchtime amidst the shops and then I discovered it was for the amazingly tasty and generous slices of traditional Italian pizza on offer at Slice. The food is simple but divine! Normally there is a choice of 4 or 5 different pizza's with one or two toppings on a thin handmade base. One slice is much bigger than your average and there is nothing too flashy....just simple combinations and good quality fresh ingredients! Don't be expecting multiple toppings and different pizza sauces and/or crusts that you would normally find at at Dominos or Pizza Hut...this is authentic Italian food with no fuss no nonsense! Bargain prices with any slice costing between £1.70 and £1.90. I personally don't think you can beat a slice of their authentic margarita! My only tiny niggle would be that the pizza isn't particularly hot when served and i'd prefer it to be a bit warmer but this is trivial. read more

What's not to like? Quick service for a large slice of Pizza that is freshly cooked and at a good price. This is another gem with one of my favourite places, Grainger Market. It sells slices of various types of Pizza that are pre-prepared, so when you order they finish cooking your slice in their ovens for you to quickly take away. Whenever I visit Grainger Market I have a slice. Expect an (admittedly quick moving) queue on any lunchtime. read more
