I needed design assistance with my living / dining room that included purchasing a dining room table and chairs, drapery, chandelier, wall color selection and lamps. At the final meeting they presented what they considered to be a completed project that was within budget. It lacked cost of wall paper and installation, lamps and drapery, key items for a finished room, and was still over budget. The designer selected items with complete disregard to price and my budget. I also asked for help designing my master bathroom and clearly stated multiple times that I l wanted limited marble in by bathroom due to it being high maintenance and us having a steam shower. Every piece of tile they selected for our master bathroom after the meeting was marble.

We bought a package of new Samsung Appliances from the Lapeer Home Depot; a refrigerator, range,…read moremicrowave and dishwasher. Our salesperson did not tell us that the refrigerator did not come with a connection kit for the icemaker, or that a power cord for the range was not included; we found that out the hard way when we opened the boxes and tried to make the appliances operational. We were outraged, and went to the Home Depot to obtain the needed parts and complain. To their credit, they refunded the money we had paid for the parts we needed. But the entire episode could have been avoided if we'd been given the correct information to begin with. We were only asked if we wanted installation for the fridge and range, which we refused. We were only asked about a connection kit in the case of the dishwasher. Also, Home Depot should vet their delivery services better. My wife was not pleased to find one of the delivery men urinating in her flowers next to our garage.
