It's a Sleep Inn, so expectations should match the value lodging space they are in. it was clean, bed was comfortable, and HVAC worked quietly. TV service was standard. Parking was ample and well-lit at night. Plenty of hot water, strong shower pressure. the Property is a bit tired, carpets in hallway was worn out with ripples. Breakfast was minimal. Front desk staff were hard to find to check in , long wait. Good safe stay at a decent price, close to food and shopping. read more

Perfectly fine for what we needed as a last minute, Saturday night stay in middle of nowhere, Dover. Check in was smooth and we were in our room within 10 minutes of exiting our car. We needed two beds but note they are full sized, not two queens. There was a living room with a couch, which we didn't use because we arrived late and departed early enough. Wifi was free and fine for quick surfing. Turned up the heat in the room and worked just fine. Beds were comfortable enough for a quick overnight stay. The next morning, we indulged in the breakfast. It was fine - make your own little waffles, and I actually loved the breakfast sausage they served - fat and crispy casing, pretty dang good. I give the "scrambled" eggs a hard NO though. I'm sure they came straight out of box that said "just add water." Otherwise, they had different toast your own breads, pastries, yogurt, fresh bananas, coffee, fruit juices, etc. If you decide you want McDonald's breakfast instead, it's a 2 minute walk behind the hotel. read more

Quaint near Casino and a ton of shopping and eateries. The breakfast is early but absolutely worth it. The rooms are nice, and amenities are simple. The price is low and comparable, and the staff is professional. I am definitely coming back. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE! Roaches in the bedroom, rumors of bed bugs from this week( we saw a review on yelp as soon as we got here). me and my friend are on a college tour and this was one of the hotels we we're staying at. The service is terrible , there's 1 man working the whole hotel and he's always hiding in the back room. We had originally had room 121 and as we were eating we saw roaches crawling on the tv stand next to the table. We ran out of the room and went to the front desk, we also had recorded videos of the roach and showed it to him. he and our chaperones had went into the room and he had pretended he did not see the roach until one of our chaperones pointed it out. He told us there was nothing he could do but give us another room for me and my roommate, the room he had given us was room 314, which is a single bed room. We checked the bed for bed bugs, we had seen red spots on the mattress, which we assumed to be blood. The sheets are not clean, there are stains on them. The hotel stinks, as soon as we walked into the room we smelt a foul odor the "fabreeze" they had given us was not even fabreeze it was "smoke odor eliminator" which made us nauseous. The drink machine in the lobby doesn't even work, there are trash bags in the hallway, there is only one man working at the hotel, no cleaning staff, or nothing. The elevator smells like shit, the staff was very rude and didn't even help. 0/5 stars. I don't recommend anyone to go here. read more

I found myself needing a spot in Dover, unfortunately due to a funeral. My friend walked be traveling with her child and husband, while I was traveling solo. We wanted a place that would accommodate. Sleep Inn fit the bill. While the room was superrrrrrr dated (green shag carpet), consistent with the 70s shag was a hip hot tub in the room! What's better than watching Law &Order with a drink and whirling jets all around? Sounds strange but it worked! read more

The room smelled nice but that's it. The heater was loud and rattled keeping me awake. I was put in a connecting room so I heard all sounds coming from that room which also kept me awake. I got home to find I had bed bug bites on my arm, face and ear on the left side of my body. Thank God I did not put my bags on the bed. The hotel is on the older side. Place was very clean but in need of a serious update. The couch in or room was definitely beyond its life expediency and needs to be replaced. The full beds are definitely on the small side, little to soft for my liking. They allow dogs which was a plus since we were traveling with our pet. The made it a fact to say the included breakfast. OMG it was a joke a bag with a breakfast bar,apple juice and a fruit !! No tea,No coffee !!! Very disappointing !! Understand COVID19 and all but this is over a year now get in the game or out of it !!! Step up !!! First night a lot of noise from the parking lot called the front desk and they took care of it. Definitely you can hear the noise for the highway. read more

I called this place in May trying to book a stay for a wedding that's happening in the area in September. I was told to call back the first week of July because they are unable to see that far in advance. I found this strange but the lady was very kind so I didn't think anything of it - thanked her and marked it in my calendar. I called a few other hotels in the area, to my surprise them all being booked. After the third hotel I called, I asked if something was going on in the area and they informed me it was firefly festival around the same time the wedding is happening. They booked me a room but it was expensive because of the price hikes in the area due to the festival and I still needed to add a night that was unavailable. So keeping my hopes high that maybe this location is cheaper and would work better for my husband and I - i decided to call back like i was previously instructed to do so. Upon calling today, I spoke with a man who I'm assuming was the manager. I mentioned what I was previously told and that I was informed by other hotels that it was firefly festival weekend and I understand if they are booked but I was told that they couldn't see that far ahead. I was burnt out from calling and I'm sure they were burnout as well. I was trying to be nice and understanding - hopeful that maybe they too- would recommend something in the area. The man immediately told me they were sold out. I mentioned again that i was told that they were unable to see dates that far ahead and that is where my confusion stemmed from (i guess i was lied to). To which his response was very condescending and frankly, unprofessional. He began to laugh, ask me if i knew what the festival is, and was more interested in my knowledge of the "bands playing" than booking a room. He then contributed to snap at me and tell me that I sound young on the phone so I must know what firefly festival is because "everyone in the world knows what firefly festival is". What a strange and weird thing to say. He also mentioned that because I live in a state close by I should know - (stupid logic) I moved to the area for my husbands work. I mentioned that this interaction was very odd and unprofessional... and that I actually was no longer interested in booking with them regardless of if there was a room available. After other pleasurable experiences from kind hotel staff in the area who were willing to help me out and recommended lovely places to stay - I'm glad I'm not staying here where the staff acts in the most disdainful manner. Very weird and after a long day of work I'm still kind and hospitable.. and I don't even work in the hotel industry. Said he was in the industry for 10 years, sir, well you shouldn't be. read more

For the price, this hotel was very comfortable, clean, and modern. My only complaint is that in the bathroom there were a few black hairs in and around the sink (which is why I only have it 3 stars); come on, is it that hard to wipe down the counter and sink? I took a wash cloth and wiped down the counter with just some water to get the hair up...yuck!! This place is fairly new; I'm guessing less than a year old. The rooms are quite large compared to some older Sleep Inns. The bathroom was large as well, however it is a shower only, even though there appeared to be enough room for a tub/shower. Bed was comfortable and clean. There is a small fitness room, a seasonal outdoor pool, and a computer in the lobby. There is a McDonalds next door and a Walmart and Sams Club within walking distance down the road. Hotel is literally 30 seconds off of Del. Route 1 on US-13/Dupont Hwy. There are micro/referg. available, however I believe they are only in the larger king and double suites as I had one. read more

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious. The beds were great, very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was great. The bathrooms very big. There was a coffee maker, blow dryer, and iron in the room. The hotel was very quiet and front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating, great service! They serve complimentary breakfast every morning from 6:30am - 9:30am. Breakfast was fresh, hot and plentiful. We highly recommend this hotel and we will certainly not hesitate to stay here in the future! read more

Can't decide between 1 or 2 stars. Stayed here for Firefly weekend and my was gross. Rooms only cleaned once because "personal belongings" were not allowed to be touched (no bed made or room cleaned if laptop is on bed). No shelf in shower, no real shower head, sheets were dirty. This hotel is appropriate rated a 2 star. The guy at the front gave us grief for using Priceline. Our room was clean and acceptable. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 10 and woke us up though checkout isn't until noon. There was apparently a block party (note: sarcasm) in the hotel the night before and it was loud until 4am. No attempts to quiet loud guests and children. Uncomfortably hard beds. Breakfast was good enough. We paid approx $55 on Priceline. read more

We had two rooms from Friday-Sunday 8/19/16-8/21/16. The beds were very uncomfortable. the mattress was larger than than the box frame, so when you sat on it..you would slide off. One of our rooms we found a bed bug in to, so they moved us to another room. Later that day they put someone else in there. So the room wasn't properly cleaned for bed bugs. The breakfast was AWFUL. The coffee and juices were all watered down and the hard boiled eggs were old.The swimming pool had sand in it the second day, and the . Refrigerator door wouldn't stay closed. I was very disappointed in this hotel, I have stayed at other Sleep Inns before that were 5x times better. read more
