Days open but doors are locked.

Honestly love it here overall, except please please please have better hours! We both work at 7am during the week so there's no way we can go to the gym in the morning when you open at 6. Please open at 5! And Saturday Sunday would be nice to open earlier as well...some people like to get an early workout in to kickoff their weekend days too (when you have kids, at 9am half the day is already over by the time it opens sundays!) ETA: went today (Sunday) at 9:30am and the doors were locked?! Are you open or not Sundays? What a joke. The hours are already so limited & now this? I pay $58 a month for this

While I was visiting in Las Vegas Nevada. I am a member of the YMCA, Memphis Tennessee. But while I am on vacation. I love to find the Y that I can be able to take our membership in and use. Which is important. Never the less this one was a beautiful YMCA...the scenery while you are on the treadmills is breathtaking, the front staff is very nice, very friendly and very welcoming. I am so happy that I found this YMCA! My next visit to Vegas would definitely include this YMCA.

My family of 6 has been members her for almost two years. The family membership is very reasonable and includes free childcare. My little kids (ages 2-6) love going to "Kids Gym" and the childcare staff are wonderful. The hours are definitely geared more towards families as it closes rather early 8pm. They membership includes all the general fitness classes and a few free kids fitness classes for ages 5-12. My son really likes the Kids Catch classes on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Swimming lessons, martial arts and dance are available for kids for additional cost. As a non-profit the YMCA offers scholarships for those in need for both memberships and classes. I think they also offer military discounts. Membership at this Y also gives you full access to the other YMCAs in town. The facility is actually owned by the City of North Las Vegas but due to funding they lease it to the YMCA to operate. There is only an indoor swimming pool and the only showers are in the pool changing rooms. The facility is always very clean, is only a few years old and well maintained. The non-judgmental family atmosphere is probably my favorite aspect of the YMCA. There are people of all shapes, sizes and abilities that take the classes so it is great if you are just starting out and worried about working out or taking a class. The personal trainers (Kat is awesome!) are also great and very affordable. I've lost 70lbs in the last year and the Y has been a big part of that. I highly recommend Zumba on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Christina. Kat also offers a boot camp in the mornings that is open to the public for a fee. Overall a great affordable, family friendly gym with a focus on helping the community become healthier!

The parking lot is well lit, I don't feel I'll get jacked up if I go in the evening. So why only three stars? Well I've been using either treadmill or recumbent bike as part of my workout. The equipment has the built in TV and in theory the ability to utilize the gym's wireless network to stream the sound from the TV to headphones. I think I've written several emails to corporate and spoke to the manager at least once regarding the fact that the streaming app does not work for any of the local channels or news channels. I get various reasons why it's not working or is delayed, yadda yadda... bottom line it hasn't worked for more than several months.... Yes I could use a corseted set of headphones, but they is awkward on the treadmill. Yes I can live stream the channels I want on my phone and kind of watch that way, but the live stream on the phone does not match the tv on the equipment so that's a bust.... So this isn't rocket science..... let's get the IT guys to move faster or something.

Although we are not members, we were able to obtain free day passes via the Planet Fitness app. Upon entering the gym, we were warmly greeted by two employees at the front counter. After checking in, we explored what I observed to be a very clean facility. Being that I have been working out for 22 years, I have grown to appreciate being in an environment that feels safe for everyone; especially considering the fact that I was once the scrawny guy that people poked fun at in the gym. I have heard people complain about Planet Fitness not having dumbbells heavier than 75 pound; however, I think the pandemic has taught folks that you don't need 100+ pound dumbbells to build a visually appealing back or chest. Also, it eliminates those individuals that love to endanger the toes of others by unnecessarily throwing around heavy dumbbells. I also loved the well-maintained equipment, it made me realize that some of the equipment at my home gym is not functioning properly. After finishing our cardio and weight training sessions, my wife and I took advantage of the secluded stretching area by doing a core routine. I appreciated the mirrors that are surrounded by vanity lighting, they definitely added 10 pounds of muscle to my physique (I'm kidding...but they are really nice)! From the workout floor to the restrooms, this facility appears to be well-maintained; there are cleaning stations everywhere, so you would have to be a filthy mcnasty to make a mess here. I will definitely bookmark this location for a return visit whenever I'm in Vegas!

Scott Robinson Blvd. I opened my membership through my employer at a discounted rate verses the gym's prices with a number of hidden stipulations, fees, and disclaimers. Welp, that's what I thought. Originally when I had the opportunity to take the tour of the gym I was very enthusiastic and motivated to get back into an exercising habit. Kai was one of the first EOS employees that gave me all the information that I needed upon the tour. Until I inquired about the UPGRADES that Kai had so nicely explained to me. This is when my FIRST set of main issues transpired and NO ONE, I mean NOOOOOO ONE could fix but they ALL said it was fixed. Now I'm in (my gym membership) almost 3 months and I've accrued an OUTSTANDING balance for two different accounts. Allow me to try to shed light on WTF I am talking about. I wanted to utilize the massage chairs that the gym offers so that required me to UPGRADE. Now at this moment in time I wasn't even thinking about my original plan through my job at this point. So when the contract was signed by me it was already a HUGE CLUSTER PHUCK and no one again I MEAN NO ONE at this EOS seemed to know how to repair or fix the issues that's why I've only given this location 1 star from my initial 5 star experience. Plus my fast phone charger, and auxiliary charger were STOLEN from the electrical outlet. I'd spoken to Keith when it while I was in the women's shower. I spoke with Olivia, Austin, Lauren, Brooklyn, Jacob, Jeremiah, Monica, Derika, Nick Hayden, and yesterday was the last straw for me and I lost it. I ended up trying to start over at another EOS location at 6564 Losee Rd. I walked in and I was immediately greeted by a beautiful vibrant young person by the name of Amira (hope I'm spelling correctly. When I checked in through my phones EOS app. I was under the assumption that my upgraded membership had been taking care of by ALL the people I named in my previous paragraphs. So as I'm about to get undressed and jump into my exercise attire my phone rings and I don't recognize the number but I'm compelled to answer anyway. It's Amira from the front desk telling me that she was trying to call me back up to the front desk so she could get clarification on WHY my account shows on her side that I have an OUTSTANDING BALANCE!!!! I was LIVID!!! Now I'm angry, disgruntled, and pissed!!! I was too embarrassed at this point. Amira reassured me that she could fix it on her end. I asked her, What time are you there till? She said, Noontime. Unfortunately I didn't make it to catch her before she left. I'm not sure Why I just didn't wait to speak with her but I was advised to speak with the manager that was there at the time. I can't even remember his name but it began with a Ma. This young man really couldn't help even though he tried. He did tell me, That I needed to get the PAST DUE accounts taken care of before coming back. I was like, WTHell is happening? This should've been rectified over 45 days ago, and now I have a Personal Trainer inactive account that I didn't truly want and I'm being FORCED to keep that 8 session contract even though I expressed to Jacob (Fitness Manager) Jeremiah, and Matthew of my injury. A man named Daniel sent me an email saying I had to complete the sessions regardless of my injury because I singed a contract. I'm not sure WHY I couldn't cancel the PT membership but I did contact the Federal Trade Commission's office to report this felonious behavior by the company itself. I ended up calling EOS on Scott Robinson Blvd. I spoke to Olivia again then she transferred me to a young man by the of Deryc (who's only been a manager) for a few weeks...this was what Dericka told me about her being an Operational Manager. I expressed my frustration to Deryc and he informed me that he was putting the correct notes in the computer system so it could be expedited and forwarded to the Regional Manager. After Monica didn't fix this problem nor did she ever call me like she'd told Dericka she would (unprofessionalism at its finest). I just left this location alone because I was more than MENTALLY DRAINED by their lacks of knowledge, and common sense. Finally I met a few people that have been able to help me in a big way. Reuben, and Kary this morning were both very helpful and directed me to converse with Vanessa whom will be able to help me more effectively. I have her business card and I'll send her an email tomorrow. Hopefully this will be fixed hopefully my fingers', and toes are crossed. Hopefully the Regional Manager or Business Manager can HELP ME GET THIS HANDLED before these situations affect my credit.
