It has more of a family owned vibe than the Cincinnati restaurants and was originally a bit skeptical as the shops in this plaza feel a little dated, but if you're craving some Skyline Chili, this will hit the spot. It's the traditional Skyline menu with options you're used to and served the way they do in Cincinnati. We've been a couple times. First time service was good but the bantering going on in the prep area was a little odd. However, second time it was more professional and the server was excellent. My husband grew up in Cincinnati before moving to Nebraska, and he missed Skyline/Cincinnati Chili so much! When we were in Fort Myers for vacation, we just happened upon this Skyline Chili restaurant when Googling/Yelping nearby options...and we did not just drive, we RACED there. I had never had Cincinnati Chili before, so my husband was very excited to introduce me to it. We got the 3-Way, which is spaghetti noodles, Skyline Chili, and shredded cheddar cheese, with oyster crackers on the side/that you can top it with. I was a little weirded out by the semi-sweet flavor of the chili at first, as a Skyline newbie, but since then I have grown to love it. The Skyline Chili is almost a mole style, which is a little sweet. If you're a fan of that style, you will enjoy Cincinnati Chili (the Skyline over the noodles, with cheese). You can also get a Coney dog with the Skyline chili, which I did, but preferred my husband's 3-Way option. You can order the kits with all the ingredients online, or buy the frozen assembled version online that you just heat up. No matter which way you order it, if you're a Skyline amateur or pro, you should definitely try it at least once, and you may find a new favorite food! read more

Always what you would expect from a skyline chili. It's almost like a portal to the north where the stores originated. The service was great; within 5 mins of walking into the store I was already taking a bite! If this store moved to a drive-thru version they would have to triple the staff the food is so good! Went there for lunch with two other people and was shocked to find the bill for a shared Greek salad, two small chili's, one drink (water for two people) and a baked potato was $55. I questioned the charges because the menu prices were different than what actually came up on my receipt. I was told this was something they were working on, and the new menus were being printed. Meanwhile you're still obligated to pay the higher prices and you don't know what they are. The food is good though especially the chili that we enjoy getting every time we visit my mom in Florida at the Ft Myers location. We can't find their chili back where we live so I guess the price is worth it. The waitress, Kim, isn't the friendliest person and other people dining near us could be heard saying the same. She doesn't have a "warm and fuzzy" vibe to her, she's very matter of fact. I had heard of this establishment many times from my best friend. He raves about it. Today I decided to give it a try! Entering restaurant: Floor was dirty. Pieces of cheese, oyster crackers, and no less than five straw wrappers were on the floor. Table was very wet from being wiped down but at least it was clean! Menu: Menu is not large but has great selection. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Ranch and a bowl of the Loaded Chili. For beverage, I stuck with Lemonade. My spouse ordered the loaded chili bowl and a regular coney dog. The wrap: Was great! Perfect balance of sauce to contents. Loaded Chili Bowl: Imagine Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, and Jackie Chan all wrestling around. That level of awesome can not be contained. This is what my tastebuds went through as I destroyed this amazing bowl of chili. Full Back to the Future vibe in here, and they shouldn't change a thing. This place is an Ohio sensation that has come to Florida. Their logos are kinda 80's in this cozy chili diner. Their speciality is chili all sorts of ways, and it's fantastic. Not sure what all flavors are in the chili, but I sensed a little cinnamon and possibly chocolate, similar to Mexican molé sauce. I had the 3 way chili which is spaghetti topped with chili and copious amounts of cheese. There is a house-made hot sauce on the table that you can add to your chili yourself for a spicy kick. Added a side Greek salad, which was really good with lots of feta cheese, some olives, and marinaded chick peas, very unique flavor. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was quick for a lunchtime meal. When checking out you can pick up a peppermint patty for 10 cents, but ask for one of the refrigerated ones to cool off your mouth. Would love to come back here again for dinner. Scarce amount of chili, had to dig under the abundant cheese to even see if it was there. I was interested in purchase a gift card on Wednesday august 9 at 239 pm. I tried to buy a gift card. They told me the internet was down the couldn't process the card and or load one. So I can't back august 11 at 730 pm. No one waited on me and or acknowledge me. Finally after 15 minutes the guy making the food came over and tried to assist me. He then proceeded to inform me that he couldn't activate a gift card only the manager was able to do so. Which she was not in to assist me. He also told me no one is trained or wants to know his to process a card. Then he says no one wants to work there and everyone quits at this location . Needless to say I'll never be back there and I'll tell everyone I know to not go there ever. Horrible service and management and environment read more

I have been to the original Skyline in Cincinnati many times as my daughter graduated from UC. This location definitely doesn't have that college town atmosphere, but a 5-way and 2 Conies is still a 5-way and 2 Conies - delicious. Sat at the bar, as this was a quick lunch. Server wasn't as attentive as you would think - sitting so close to them. My drink needed refilling, but I just spoke up. I can see why this place is loaded with regulars. Great regional food favorite of Cincinnati. Cinnamon in the chili gives a enhanced flavor without the heavy cinnamon notes overcrowding the dish. As a Cincinnati native living in Los Angeles, I was really excited to learn there was a Skyline near my family. As usual the food was delicious, but that was the only good part about my visit. I was grossed out when I saw the server wipe down a dirty table with just a napkin before seating a family. Also, the floors were disgusting, there were napkins, spaghetti and crackers all over - and again, people were seated with all that at their feet. Our server only came to our table to drop off our meal and drinks (which she passed across the table over our heads instead of placing on the table - Rude) - other than that - she shouted from the drink station to take our order, see how we were, and to see if we were finished. I've never had a server yell at me from across the place - extremely unprofessional. After she asked if we were finished, she went on to rolling silverware...we sat for a while before one of us walked up to get the check and box. The worst thing that can happen to good coneys is soggy bread or not enough cheese, but here neither of those happened. The service was fine, but the coneys were the stars I was looking for. Cheesy deliciousness with my admitted order of extra cheese, just to make sure. The oyster crackers were perfect and I felt like I was back in Cincy. The decor was a little lacking (some of the other Fla. locations have a lot more Tristate memorabilia which I love). I have eaten many times at the one in Naples, every time I could, then I moved to Ft. Myers and have done the same thing after discovering there was one here. every time my daughter, and sister come from Miami, we go there. It is without a doubt the best place to eat chili hot dog drenched with shredded cheese! We love them, very reasonably priced and have never had a bad experience, on the contrary, the waitresses are terrific and very nice! This one in Ft. Let me start off by letting you know that the only reason I gave these people two stars is because they didn't Mess up the plain baked potato with sour cream, which was mediocre at best. If Yelp had an A-F grading system, i'd be able to provide an appropriate rating for this place, because an "F" would be more descriptive of the food served here. We got two Cheese Cony Dogs, the Chilli, and a steamed potato with sour cream. Let's start off with saying what the BEST things we got here were: -The soup crackers, which are obviously not made in house. (And frankly, I'm sure nothing on their menu is.) -And the plain steamed potato with sour cream, which is idiot-proof. The Cheese Dogs were these pathetic little over-salted miniature "hot dogs" stuffed in a bun twice it's size. "Chilli" Is slathered on the bun as if it were a CONDIMENT instead of a HIGHLIGHT and it was SMOTHERED in low-grade, overly-greasy, pasteurized, shredded cheese. The Chilli? The Chilli was just plain weird, but It just may be the way it taste's in Cincinnati. It had no volume, no dimension, and was very unsatisfying. High hopes were held for this place and we figured it'd be one of those 'hole-in-the-wall' joints that we'd end up loving it, but this wasn't the case. Save your money.
