Now Shinda is quick to take my rent money every first of the month but I still have a cracked window and my bath tub is clogged everything that has been put up I've had to pay people to do it,,, My brother came from Delaware and put up my tv the old ac that was given to me my lights my toilet seat which was paid by my brother we stood without hot water for 3 days,, The only thing good about this place is the security and most of the staff.... I ve never met anyone from Shinda Management also since Shinda Management took over I haven't seen the exterminator!!!!!!!

They're not providing staff that know the history or the building or tenants, they're not updating their lease agreements, asking tenants to back date documents illegally and then requesting them to go get a One Shot Deal at the Department of Social Services which is shameful and disgusting. Violations on top of violations and no one is accountable. You never know who the management team are, they're invisible with no names, their letters posted by building security and custodians are also not legitimate and have no management names listed. Tenants can provide all of their documents and still no leases are provided. Who is behind this? It cannot be people who care about the tenants who live in these developments, it has to be only people who look to capitalize on the backs of the working poor. This is really sad and should be legally reported and audited immediately. Someone is gaining and it definitely is not the hard working tenants who pay their rent on time and consistently. Some of the tenants that are not paying are the ones who are charged incorrect and bogus rent prices. They've intentionally spiked their rent prices for someone to gain financially. Not sure what exactly is going on, but if anyone with a legal background reading this please help bring this to light and gather the tenants to fight for their rights. It has lasted way too long to continue and must be stopped. This is a CRIMINAL ACT for real. Concerned Tenant and Tired as hell!! Someone needs to go to jail behind this - Facts! Shinda has abandoned their tenants way before COVID-19 and never has returned... Last know quality person was VP and LW they know who they are. Everyone else are crooks and are looking for a payout.... They need to be reported and stopped immediately. Tredway will be taking over, they say... Who are they the cousins of the previous owner? Who knows where these bogus people/company names come from... I'm just saying???

    I originally wrote this review in 2010. Got an e-mail from Yelp HQ the other day saying they were…read moretaking it down because the review indicated that I did not have a relationship with this company. Huh? Shame on you, Yelp HQ! Read it again. It clearly says how we made them our agents and how much we regretted it. Oh, wow!!! double shame on you, Yelp HQ! Look at the other reviews! 3 of the 5-star reviews should totally be taken down! 2 of them clearly state that the reviewer didn't hire Shildkret! And one review has nothing to do with real estate. It's someone saying how Shildkret hires their company to do roofing jobs. WTH!! Fellow Yelpers, you can see for yourself how the 5-star reviews are all questionable and how this company has mostly 1-star reviews. They are really nasty and as crooked as the day is long. We found a house in which we were interested. We spoke to the listing agents (Debra Murray and Irene ). We told them we would have the agent we'd been working with contact them in order to continue the process. They begged us to let them represent us (so they wouldn't have to split the commission). They told us that if we did so, they would 1. Do everything they could to satisfy our needs. 2. Give us use of the company truck for our move. Neither one of these things happened despite us making them our new agents. The sellers concealed from us a number of things that were broken (the house was so packed, even the inspector didn't see these things) and the agents were only too happy to assist in rushing us through to help ensure that we did not examine too thoroughly. They never conveyed our wishes to the sellers. Things that would have helped us a great deal and would not have caused the sellers any problem or cost them anything. But not having it done cost us money and a great deal of time. And they didn't even provide the truck for our move! I contacted Julia afterwards and asked to be reimbursed for our costs. She wrote me back a very obnoxious letter in which she stated: That loan of the truck was a courtesy, not a right. That the agents spent far more time with us than with other buyers. That we were the beneficiaries of money expended by her firm. Following are excerpts from my response As to how much time the agents spent with us vs. other buyers, I couldn't say. I would have to guess though that this too is inaccurate as we bought the only property they showed us. I would imagine that you have buyers who may look at a dozen properties before buying, don't you? But of course that is not relevant. The assertion that they "bent over backwards to satisfy us" is ridiculous. It was abundantly clear that they were taking the sellers' side all the way. Regarding your claims of financial concessions by your firm that benefitted us: allow me to address the 3 you mentioned 1. Getting the sellers to leave us a stove. I've never even heard of this one before. There was never any issue regarding a stove. So, I don't know what you are talking about. Are you perhaps referring to the issue of the refrigerator? There were 2 refrigerators. We were initially lead to believe that both would stay. Not only did we not get 2, we didn't even get the better one of the 2. 2. The built-in cabinets in the 2nd bedroom. We do not believe for a minute the agents paid the sellers for them. Even Irene looked shocked when Debbie made this claim to us. The cabinets were in the contract. So, we were getting them. Neither we nor anyone else had to pay extra for them. 3. The sidewalk. Yes, your firm had this done. That's great. But please don't insult our intelligence by implying that it was some act of largess. It was a sticking point between us and the seller. And so, to speed up the process of getting a commission of tens of thousands of dollars, you invested a few hundred. That's just good business on your part. Julia, this was a horrible transaction from start to finish. The sellers' took advantage of us in every way (taking things that they weren't supposed to, trying to sell us things that were clearly included in the contract) and your agents tried to assist them in every way. The day we got the keys, we did a quick walk through and then Irene tried to get us to sign a document stating that everything was in fine shape and that the escrow money should be released. That is both totally unreasonable and totally biased! That is not good (or even fair) representation of our interests.
