My daughter Erin , and I booked a tandem skydive for Wednesday September 14 ,2016 .This was the best experience that I could have asked for . The facility , and the staff were fantastic . We live in Michigan , and my daughter works in Minn. Our goal was not to get sick or pass out during the jump. We checked out the web site and watched a-lot of the videos to see what we were getting into .I was a little nervous , but not too bad . Watching the staff and other jumpers helped calm me down .I thought I was cool as a cucumber until I saw the video of us as we got to the door to jump. You could see the terror on my face , but we still went for it . Holy cow what a rush !!! We could see the Twin Cities skyline , perfect day . I was OK during the free-fall , when the chute opened I felt a little queezie . When my instructor gave me the handles to control the chute and make a turn to the left , I almost lost it . My instructor calmly handed me a baggie in case I needed it . Next time I'll be sure to take some motion sickness pills. The landing was easy , like gliding in . I never tossed my lunch but I did have to lay down for a bit . Again if we didn't live so far away , I know that that would not be my last jump . I DID IT!!!:) Best part was jumping out of the plane at 13,000 feet and the free fall starting at 120mph! YES and I'm afraid of heights WOW what an experience!! Definitely, beats riding a bull and THIS I would do again!:) Just need to find out from the doc how quick the recovery is for a ruptured left ear drum from this jump. I shared my love for all, said a prayer, jumped out with no problem, felt the cool air on my arms, air blowing through my hair, flying through blue sky, looking down at the massive earth with lush trees and floated down on the beautiful green, swiftly and gently landing on my tush. All the while gave OK and thumbs up hand signals.:) I WILL be doing this AGAIN with friends and family! My tandem instructor with the cool name, Breezy, was wonderful along with Mike the camera guy and the other trainers and staff. Trainer Dave was there a couple weeks ago when we couldn't jump due to the winds and he was so knowledgeable and informative in answering our questions that we were able to get another friend to feel confident in how safety has improved greatly over the years and he will try it too. My husband took me to experience my first skydiving at Skydive Twin cities on my birthday! It was an unforgettable experience. My instructor Noelle was awesome and very friendly. Everybody there was also super kind and helpful. The experience itself was something i'll never forget. I was nervous at first and scared to death when we were in the plane but a few seconds after we jumped, I have forgotten about everything! I was bawling my eyes out because I was so overwhelmed by crazy feelings and the beauty of endless blue sky! I couldn't stop crying out of happiness and positive emotions. Can't properly explain so you'll have to try out for yourself! It's pricey but it's so worth it! and i recommend 100% to also purchase the photo/video service because i look at my pictures sometimes and relive those emotions! It was the best birthday ever! It was something I wanted to do for over 20 years. I finally got it set up in celebration of my 65th birthday. However it was not to be on the first try, or the second, or the third, but the fourth was a go!. The person I was tethered to, Connor, and I believe the videographer was Tyler (or Taylor sorry about that) and both were absolutely wonderful and made me feel very comfortable and very secure. The staff that helped me get suited up was full of information when I had questions and I appreciated them answering them directly. Weather is a big big factor and it doesn't always cooperate. That's why I was postponed by the company until my fourth attempt. They just want to keep everyone safe. It was an awesome experience and I will do it again but I admit, it will be in warmer temperatures. If you're in doubt, let that doubt go! Just do it! You will thank yourself. read more

The team was professional, patient and encouraging. Ryan, my tandem partner, and Jake, my videographer, were exceptional. The jump was exhilarating! I was celebrating my 80th birthday and had the most thrilling adventure of my life. Ryan is a wonderful teacher, asking if I was ok, reassuring me while giving instructions, noting the beauty and peacefulness of floating above the clouds. And as we were descending, Jake suddenly appears "out of the blue." How did he do that? Where did come from? He created a detailed visual story that I could share with others. The morning after I received an email from Skydive TwinCities with all the photos and videos. The subject line read: Are you still smiling? Yes, I'm still smiling. I'm friends with someone who used to work there and they recommended that I stopped by to skydive! I made a reservation a bit ago to do it on August 2nd and the instructors were amazing. I had Jake (tandem instructor) and Mikey (go pro recorder) do my jump with me and they made me feel super comfortable even though I was scared shitless internally. I quite literally tipped them at the end. The overall environment there was something that I've never experienced before. Everyone was super nice and encouraging and helped with whatever I needed to make this jump something to remember. my 6th tandem jump within 2 months. I jump with 4 different instructors all very professional and have a little different style and all are so professional and make you feel safe.
