BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!! I decided to do something out of the ordinary for my 20th birthday and I'm so glad I did! I had a wonderful time! Everything went well from the moment I called to schedule my jump to the landing. The staff is very professional, friendly, and well experienced. I was blessed with Noah as my instructor and he definitely made the experience more fun than. He was very calm and that helped out a lot with my nerves. He was also very understanding about first time jumpers being nervous, so he constantly checked to make sure I was okay throughout my visit. If you're seeing this and you're wondering if you should do it, the answer is YES! Be prepared to hear the staff cracking jokes haha they were so much fun. Did my first fall out of an airplane with Skydive STL last week. On arrival we signed a zillion waivers on an iPad. That part was significantly better than having to sign on paper so bonus points there. But the facility's AC was broken and it was close to 100 outside with a wasp flying around the room. Everyone was nice enough though. The plane was a 1960's? Maybe 70's Cessna C182. Once in the plane I faced forward where a co-pilot Seat would have been. Things were zip tied together and one over head line had been repaired with rubber tubing and a couple 70 cent hose clamps. I'm not one to worry too much about this kind of stuff but I would have been nice to have a grab bar to hold onto instead of the underside of a half broken glove box. At 5k feet one of the guys called out half way there! At around 7k feet up the instructor started buckling us together given that our climb rate was slowly slowing (I was facing the gauges and have some knowledge of how to fly a plane.) I knew it would be a long while before we hit the advertised 10k. But right at 9k the pilot leveled off and the instructor finished his final checks on our harness. Just a few moments later at 9100 feet we went out the door. The experience of falling was pretty great. The ride down was fun and I would recommend everyone with a pulse give it a whirl. They didn't press too hard for me to purchase the video I declined initially but they still recorded. So bonus points there also. But taking a video when I didn't want one was weird. I guess it's better to have it than to not and wish you had one. The 3 star review is really for shorting us 10% of the ride. They charge extra for being over 200lbs but don't discount for shorting us the last thousand feet of the ride. read more

After being on lockdown for Covid-19 precautions because I am high risk with a rare lung disease, i was feeling depressed being away from my friends and not being able to go to church because about 75% don't believe in masks or engage in social distancing but do engage in hugs and handshakes. I am an extrovert. I was about to work on my sleeve tattoo but, I just wanted to feel life again. I'm afraid of flying, heights, water (rivers, ocean, lakes, and deep end of pools. I just needed to face some fears. I figured if I could do this, then the next time I feel fear over something, I can look back at this. I got in my car to drive there and my odometer said 66.6 miles. Not a great start. I was ready. I got in the first jump position and off we went. We got about one or two thousand up when a bird hit the propeller and wing. We landed. They looked over the plane and discovered a minor blood stain under the wing. Hey, at least they cared enough to stop climbing for safety reasons Up we went again. I had no fears. The difficult part wasn't us jumping but feeling the wind after the door opened to climb on the step. It was Amazing and so peaceful. This was my first. I can't wait for the next My instructor had over 4500 jumps so I knew nothing to worry about. Lee was amazing! The entire staff were great! read more

Our friend from work had done this before and wanted to do it for her 60th birthday and talked us into it. Soooooo glad she did. I always said that I would never! Glad I did not listen to myself. Everyone from taking our money , to packing our shoots, videos, flying the plane and the instructors at skydive STL was awesome and did a great job. They made the experience fun. Lots of joking and laughing but at the same time making it safe. Evan was my instructor he is a great guy that you can tell loves what he does. Always smiling. Makes you feel at ease, makes ya laugh and have a great time. Would I do it again? YEEEES! It's hard to explain, it's just something you have to experience yourself, at least once in your life, to know. I plan to do it more! read more
