Excellent dropzone! Owned by the Swallow Group who also own Skydive Spain and Skydive Hibaldstow. Ocean views, great weather, huge hangar, dornier airplanes. Friendly staff. Quick turnaround for loads. Nice cafe next to the hangar. Really fun dropzone. I can't wait to return for an event for for a few days of mega flying!! read more

Skydive Algarve are the tandem skydiving experts in Portugal. Based on the southern coast of sunny Portugal with over 25 years experience in skydiving. Skydive Algarve are part of the Swallow Group DZs including Skydive Hibaldstow in the UK and Skydive Spain in Seville. Skydive Algarve offer tandem skydive, skydiving courses and training for those looking to gain a license in skydiving. We also offer coaching, progression camps and lots of experienced skydiver events throughout the year.

History

Established in 2001.

Skydive Algarve was bought by the Swallow Family in 2014 and due to their reputation of being exceedingly well organised, highly safety concious, and due to the fact that they run a fleet of aircraft especially designed for the fast climb to 15,000ft altitude with the large doors perfect for group exits- since then it has gone from being a part time operation to a full time dropzone and is open 365 days a year. In busy periods we fly multiple aircrafts. The Christmas Boogie has become increasingly popular year by year and Skydivers flock here by the hundreds to take advantage of the winter sun.

I recently visited Skydive Algarve in Alvor near Portimão to make a skydive in Portugal and see the beautiful coastline and the Atlantic Ocean from about 14,000 ft. The experience was beyond amazing and the views out of this world! The vibes at the drop zone are super chilled and the staff extremely friendly, caring and professional. Jumping out of planes is definitely one of the best things to do in the Algarve. At Skydive Algarve they say "Jump in Paradise" and I couldn´t put it any better - to me, it´s the best place to skydive in Europe!! Don´t miss out when you are in that area! read more

For a long time I wanted to do a Tandem Skydive in Portugal. When I searched about how much does it cost to Skydive in Portugal and what would be the best place to skydive in Algarve, I realized that Skydive Algarve is the place to go. The atmosphere, the people, the instructors that make you feel safe every step of the way and the breathtaking view of the Algarve coast will definitely win you over. So I was searching the best place to skydive in Europe and I found that Tandem skydiving in Portugal and specifically in the Algarve is THE place to skydive. So I went on to find out where to skydive in Alvor and found that Skydive Algarve is THE highest rated and the best place by far! I did my first tandem Skydive there and LOVED it- I definitely picked the best place at Skydive Algarve.
