Service was good. We had coffee & kahlua as it was windy & cold. Great view. Pool looks refreshing on a hot day.

Our group was in town for over a week and ended up here a couple of times. The first time we went…read morethere we got a table right away. We lucked out as the place was pretty full already. The second time there was about a 10 minute wait which worked out great because I ended up discovering Baja's Awesome Beach Rides about a block away and booked a horseback ride on the beach for the following morning. The people there were very welcoming and service was excellent. The place was clean and orderly. Tables weren't too close to one another and the bathrooms were nice and clean which is a big plus in my book, I got a kick out of the large sign on the wall with funny phrases on it. It gave me a chuckle when I read, "Bill Gates never eats here" with the word never printed very, very small. And, "Two beer or not two beer" with the author noted as William Shakesbeer. I tried their coconut shrimp as well as some of their sushi rolls and it all was fresh and delicious. The second time we were there we brought some fish we had caught earlier in the day and they prepared it for us. Of course that wasn't the only thing we ordered but it was great to walk in with fish and let them prepare it for us. Timing was perfect on everything. From ordering drinks, to the main course, and dessert, everything was brought out just when expected. I was never having to search out a server. They seemed to be right there when I needed anything. Very attentive. For desert I ordered flan, which I prefer on the firm side. It was just as firm as I had hoped and had a hint more cinnamon than most which I really liked. We also had some of Pedro's homemade ice cream. It was a creamy and delicious treat. I give them 5 stars because they were friendly, attentive, served good food, had nice ambiance and, most important, were clean and organized. If I am blessed enough to return to Los Barriles I will visit La Casita again.

Tried this place a year ago, I did not like the food or would recommend this restaurant…read more I ordered a pork chop with arándano sauce, the sauce tasted like marmalade spread over it, so sweet and unappetising. I know people in town enjoy it, I didn't like my food, or what the other people on the table ordered either.

Not knowing what to expect, I was surprised how vast this lounge was! Definitely a quiet respite…read morefrom the hustle and bustle of the food court and waiting areas. There are a ton of spots to sit at (table, bar, sofas, individual seats) and clean restrooms inside as well. While the food isn't amazing, it's enough to satisfy. There are buffet items like cucumber and carrots slices, make your own chilaquiles (sauce is watered down), eggs and hotdogs (yes, together), fruit, and small Mexican cookies. And the waiters walking around will hand out a small menu card for items one can order fresh. From walking around and seeing other people's picks, the fajita chicken seems the most appetizing. It's definitely a healthier tasting option (lightly seasoned, grilled onions and peppers, and white rice), and the sautéed vegetables delivered with lightly seasoned zucchini, carrots, and eggplant. The pasta dishes looked reminiscent of cafeteria boiled pasta with a spoonful of canned tomato sauce on top, and the tuna sandwiches looked very underwhelming. Our server was really hardworking and made his rounds often, checking up on everyone. Don't forget to bring some cash to tip the waiter :) I wished there was a place to refill water glasses instead of waiting for or having to flag down someone though. Again, come with very low expectations for the food, but enjoy a comfortable and quiet place to wait for the flight!

This place should just be called a lounge. There's NOTHING VIP about it other than a beautiful…read moreseating area (this and the nice bartender is the only reason there is more than 1 star for this review. Food: almost non existent. It's almost 2 pm and there's leftover soup of some kind, no label to tell you what it is. There's an empty bowl where sour cream on e lived and a few shreds of what look like cheese in a bowl next to that...and two lovely bowls of old tortilla chips. Oh, you do get an option of some refried beans, green or red salsa....but even the green salsa is nearly gone. There ARE some sliced carrots and celery, and what I think are sliced beets. That's it. That's the food in the "designated food area" No fresh meats, no fresh veggies, no salads, no fresh desserts, nuts, yogurt, or fresh fruit. It's a barren wasteland of food possibilities but not probabilities. You can, should you choose, to ask a waiter (if you can find one) for a "menu," a small pocket sized , laminated card with about 4 options for "food" and by that I mean hot dog, vegetables, ham and turkey sandwich, and a chicken fajita (that had two pieces of pepper, and a chicken that looked like it had been cooked last week. I'm not sure who decided that this was quality food and drink enough to be called a VIP lounge, but it's not even close to what you can get at STK (which is sad, because you EXPECT more from from Priority Pass) Well, may the odds be ever in your favor if you come here. Other than free rail drinks (nothing top shelf) this place doesn't offer much. I'll not be giving my patronage to this place again, if this is the kind of VIP "service" you receive.

My friends and I wanted to get drinks after dinner in downtown San Jose del Cabo, so we decided to…read moretry to find this bar, which was highly rated online. We walked around the block for about 15 minutes trying to find it until we saw someone standing outside El Patio and asked where the heck this bar was. Turns out, you have to walk through the restaurant to get to it! It's located in the courtyard. We came on a night they were going to have a ticketed event, but since we were there early, they let us stay at our table without cover. We ordered a punch bowl to share among the five of us. The cocktail tasted great and the service was awesome! It was warm and humid and the guys turned the fan they had towards us to keep us cool! I really liked the vibes here; you feel like you're in a jungle (it was dark with trees and plants around you; the space was lit by colored lights) at a secret outdoor nightclub. Check their Facebook page for special events -- I think the cover was only about the equivalent of $10USD/person.

The staff doesn't really understand English and I wanted Jameson and ginger and I got whiskey with soda. After explaining again, the nice waiter got me a whiskey and ginger beer (since they had no Jameson) and switched it out for us. The DJ that night was great! It was all house music that evening which was fun. The crowd is mixed but the place had an awesome vibe. The doorman was fun too! Thanks!
