Came for the views, and it didn't disappoint. The tallest building in South America has a wonderful observation deck on 2 levels. A clear day provided views of the snow-capped mountains behind the very built-up city. Organized and easy process from purchasing tickets to reaching the top. It's definitely worth the 30 mins or so we spent enjoying the view.

I enjoyed my visit to Sky Constanera. I went at night and the lights of the city were beautiful. I enjoyed how they kept it dim inside so you didn't get glare from the interior lights. It's more expensive to go on weekends so if you're looking to save money, go during the week. Make sure you take the escalator up to the outside portion to enjoy more of the view. There is a little cafe on the observation deck that was very popular and there was a combo playing music while were there which was nice. You need to go to the bottom level of the mall to enter. Everyone who works there is very nice.

Getting near the area.

The largest skyscraper in South America, Sky Costanera grants you to a vast view of the city of Santiago. We went just before the sun set and it seemed we weren't the only ones. Lines were a bit messy, there being no direction or organization. Ended up having to make the line twice as I had bought the tickets online and there was a second line for that, but again, no one tells you because everyone is stuck in the same line. Inefficiency aside, going up to the top, my ears popped. Ditto with going down. The views themselves were good but not great. Why do I say this? Because Santiago is heavily full of pollution and you see it even more when you're that high up. I recommend it as an experience, yes, but I wouldn't tell you that it's the end all, be all, if that makes any sense. I've gone to other skyscrapers in other parts of the world that have impressed me more.

We visited Sky Costanera because the gondolas were closing soon. We wanted to get a good sight of the beautiful city of Santiago. I found Sky through a google search and had no idea it is the tallest skyscraper in South America. The cost was low but the views were definitely not. On a nice cloudless day, you can see over the mountains (but not over the next ones or the ones after those). It is an amazing 360 view and worth the visit. It's a quick trip, maybe 40 minutes if you really take your time. I highly recommend visiting if you find yourself in Santiago. You won't be disappointed. If you are looking to visit, you have to go inside the mall and go the bottom floor. It's right next to Samsung.

The sky Costanera is the tallest building in South America and offers you a chance to rise above the city of Santiago de Chile to view the city in panoramic views. I went around 7:30 to try to get good sunset pictures. It could be more straightforward where to go to get to the top. GPS will take you to the building, but the entrance is in the attached mall's lower level. The last elevator up is at 8:30, and you should allow at least an hour to wait in line if you do not pre-purchase tickets. The sunset is fantastic; the only downside is that pictures of the sunset are challenging to obtain, as the glass in the viewing area was quite dirty the day I went. Don't forget there is also a bar one can visit while at the top.

A real stunner. A fantastic way to really get a perspective on the jewel of Chile. We lucked out on a low smog afternoon so the views were great. The little bar/restaurant was top notch and you never felt rushed along. Each turn offered and incredible new look at Santiago and made us even more excited for our upcoming days in the city.

A beautiful view of Santiago, Chile! THE AMBIANCE: Ambiance is everything at Gran Torre Santiago. When you enter the building you enter into a mall and take an elevator to the top where all of the action is. You will get a 360 degree view of Santiago. The colors that illuminate the earth are green, orange, red, and blue. Just stunning! Apart from the picturesque buildings and green landscape you also get a beautiful view of the Andes Mountains! This tower holds the highest viewpoint in Latin America - 300 meters high. There are graphs and other interactive items as well as an escalator, which will take you to the highest point of the tower. A definite must see if visiting Santiago! An absolutely beautiful place to stop by. Sky costanera is a spectacular 360 degree view of the city of santiago. The view is seen from the top of one of the largest skyrises in santiago. In order to get to the top, you have to buy a ticket on the ground floor. The tickets are about $12 USD per person. Afterwards you have to pass through a metal detector and present your ticket to an elevator attendant. The elevator takes you up over 40 floors and then you arrive at a truly remarkable and memorable view. The whole city is visible from this spectacular vantage point. The andes moutain range in the distance makes found an astounding backdrop. My family and I went during the day on a relatively clear day so we got to the advanatage of a lot of different photo opportunities. The view was truly amazing during the day but I could only imagine how beautiful and the romantic the view must be from sky costanera during the night time. Overall, this is a really cool place to stop by in santiago. On the lower levels of the building, the place actually has their own mall. My family and I didn't get to explore the entire mall but it looked like a good time. Sky Costanera has a variety of cool attractions: restaurants, stores, and of course the unbeatable 360 degree aerial view of santiago. There is parking available in the basement of the sky rise building. I would definitely recommend stopping by this place and checking out the view if you are staying in Santiago, Chile.

You can choose to ride up on the funicular round trip which takes you straight up the hill and comes down the same way, although we chose a different path kinda by accident but nonetheless , a fun experience. There is also an air tram option before you make your way down although you need to reserve a time slot which may be tough to do, if you are not exactly sure how much time you will visit. At the top of the hill, you will have a Bird's Eye view of Santiago; which is amazing. The city does have a fog cap around the top, but you can still manage to get some decent photo shots of it. Plenty of good photo ops at the top and walking around the perimeter of the area. If you want to go see the Chile sign, then you must be prepared for the walk down. It's about a 25 minute walk down the hill to get to the sign, but once there, totally worth it. The decision to go see the sign needs to be made not only for the walk down but having to walk back up the steep hill to catch the tram or cable car down. If you continue walking down , most likely you will be walking along many locals that use the path for adventure and fitness. Don't be surprised by getting passed up by skateboarders, roller blades and even a few locals that seem to walk way faster than us. Lots of hiking trails options on way down, if you want to go off road. It's about another 30 minute walk down, and I mean down, to get to the entrance part. Don't plan on having uber picking you up somewhere on the way down because they are prohibited from driving this way. How do I know, well, ....... Did I mention the walk is down, down, down? Overall, it's a must do, take your time and plan the trip, so it matches your fitness and time capacity.

I have seen the Christ of the Ozarks in Eureka Springs Arkansas but not since I joined Yelp. This one isn't the Christ, instead is his Mom the Virgin Mary. It's very cool and worth it. I didn't try hiking Cerro San Cristóbal and I didn't Uber. Instead, I walked from Baquedano Metro station and took the funicular. Easy!
