At the Carpenter Bar, the lights are low, there is minimal seating, and it's easy to just slow down, sip on your drink, and enjoy your evening. If you're looking for a Busch light or a vodka Red Bull, this probably isn't your scene, but if you appreciate the finer things and attention to detail with your spirits, definitely try to get a table or a seat at the bar here. I will definitely go back. This Three-Quarter Nelson cocktail is essentially a whiskey sour with a little amaretto softening the spirit and adding such a delicious nutty element to the drink.

The ambiance was pretty cool and the appetizers of stuffed peppers, chicken skewers and beef meatballs weren't bad. The table settings for the dinner itself were great. They had candles and branches set in vases, with flowers for the wedding party tables. The dance floor was pretty small but luckily it was a small wedding. There's space for a photo booth if you decide to have one against the back wall leading to the bathrooms. The catered food was delicious, only the green beans were a bit salty. Cons: Because it's a shared venue you could occasionally hear the music from the club side of the venue. The bathrooms were also shared which prevented the usual bathroom necessities you find during weddings. There was no coat check, only rolling hangers which I periodically checked on since it was closer to the shared doorway. And the structure of the building meant there were pillars blocking some folks during speeches. Overall this was a solid venue to have a wedding, and they did a really good job setting up tables, and with the food.

Just a place to hang out for an hour or so. I'd categorize it as a 'dive bar.' I enjoyed the decor. It's full of street signs, construction equipment, and alcohol advertising. Had 1 pool table, a couple slots, and dartboards. I noticed an outdoor patio/smoking area. Bar was only maybe, 8 people long? 10 if you squished. We hung out at a table; the bar was shoulder-to-shoulder full. Bartender came over and waited on us. That was nice. I expected to go to the counter. She was very kind, quick, and attentive. Never caught her name but loved her blue hair! I could tell the rest of the bar was full of regulars and we felt a little out of place. But, it's a tiny bar on a Sunday night. We almost witnessed a fight! And a patron had to be cut off and he somehow didn't fall as he was leaving. I pray he didn't drive. More than 1 person complimented my husband's beard. Was a tad bit awkward. LoL He used the bathrooms and he said it was fine. Prices were good. I noticed they had a lot of specials and happy hours. Didn't love it. Didn't hate it. Gave it 3 stars because I wasn't disappointed nor was I blown away. Neutral rating for a neutral experience. Beware of pot holes in the parking lot.

We were a little leery and skeptical but ended up believing absolutely satisfied and happy. We will definitely be back. The fish and chips was yummy, even the tartar sauce was great. The service was great from the bar. My husband had the wings and they were great, our adult children had their famous sloppy Joe and loved it, and without the menu right in front of me I think it was called like the Italian pork sandwich which had so many layers it was amazing. You can witness them coming out to put the fresh beer on tap into a frying pan where they are cooking the delicious pork and scrumptious herbs in a sauté. Excellent!!! The fries were fresh and hot and delicious being fried in an expensive and healthier oil. Our adult daughter is extremely picky and she just saved every bite and enjoyed it just like the rest of us that are extremely picky. This isn't just everyday food it's cooked from scratch, hand dipped fish, Quality ingredients and put together with thoughtfulness and deliciousness. We definitely will be back! The ambience was fun being in a bar where there was locals having a good time.
