AeroMexico had a terrific sale last December on flights from New York to Santiago in business class…read moreand so I jumped on it. A new place that has Yelp? You bet! My flights from New York to and from Mexico City and my flight from Mexico City to Santiago are reviewed elsewhere. This review is specific for my experience in Santiago headed to Mexico City. Business class customers of AM get to use Delta's Sky Club which isn't far away. Lounges are awesome, though this one was just A-OK and it is "departures only" so you can't use it when you land in Santiago. Nothing special with arrival at SCL. Despite the announcement that the front cabin would deplane first, the flight attendant just let the traffic merge. I did not have a checked bag, so I don't know how long that process took. For my return, I had an electronic boarding pass on my phone so I did not need to visit the ticket counter. I simply made my way through security and to the lounge. Near boarding time, I headed to the gate. We started boarding about 15 minutes past the posted time. AM has five zones and there's no way that there were 60 people for Zone 1 but the gate agents didn't turn anyone away. On board, a pre-departure beverage of orange juice or water was offered along with the menu. This route was served with a 787-8 in a 2x2 configuration in business class. I didn't have any of the dinner or breakfast. As soon as it was acceptable, I reclined my seat and slept for the 7 hours to Mexico City. It was pretty comfortable. I'd fly AM again. The hard product is excellent. The service from gate agents and flight attendants is limited, but it's mostly about the seat and the route.

I stayed here for about 2 weeks for work and I was overall very happy with the hotel and my room. I…read morehad a Junior Suite on a high floor, the room was large and the bed comfortable. The view of the city and the mountain was spectacular. The hotel is located near a couple of large malls and many restaurants, plus everything I wanted to see was a 10 minute Uber ride away. The staff was friendly and helpful. The gym was a bit spartan, no bikes of any kind, but they do have some good machines and teadmills. The pool is outside and okay, but I didn't use it. I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here during the 2019 protests and for that reason probably got upgraded to the executive…read moresuite. I didn't ask for it. They just gave it to me. The front desk messed up my key card access for the room so I had to drag my luggage all the way back down from the 23rd floor to have them re-do it. First world problems. The room was foolishly large with insane views of the city from the 23rd floor, also where the sucky executive lounge is located. The only thing they offer is non-alcoholic beverages and stupid snacks like M&Ms and raisins. But hey, at least it's 24 hours. As for complimentary breakfast at Cafe Med, I have never been more unimpressed with a breakfast buffet at a Marriott. And I average over 30 nights a year at Marriott properties. The food was absolutely atrocious. Overall, the hotel has zero charm given its location inside a business center. The only reason I'm at 4 stars is because of the upgrade, the gym and the pool. The gym is pretty stacked with equipment and the pool area is quite nice.
