Did not behave like this with mom. I was accused of launching allegations, which if I have evidence, that's more a statement of fact. Mom's allegations were taken seriously, dad no. Mom is a teacher and this social worker has an educational background. Maybe it's preferable treatment to mom Bc I'm a man, mom is a teacher? Mom can say what will and when I respond explaining years of abuse and false allegations, while visibly scared Bc this professional yells and talks about how she feels and can only imagine what my kid feels? So ignore all the problems mom caused for the child and enable the allenation done to the child by mom (proof), bc that's good for a child? Hope next meeting is better and mom doesn't falsify medical documents again like in the past causing problems for the child. But teachers stick w teachers. Funny thing is I have subpoenaed and FOIAed info to back the claim Also last appointment. Laura came out and asked to schedule, being right before Thanksgiving, she could not do Wednesday appt before Thanksgiving 21, so as she exited that appointment she asked mom, overlooking me two times as mom was late, said to mom, not to both, but to mom, "Next appointment I cant do Wednesday because of the holiday, Marissa, I can do Tuesday, thats dads day, are you ok with that"? Now this struck me bc the other two meetings (one on Wonks Funeral she came at me hard and about alcohol (too hard from what marissa said in the situation that I used to drink a lot) she claimed to never have spoken to marissa before hand How'd she know about drinking How'd she know about exchange days She told me she never had the decree and did not speak to mom before hand I tried to explain all the nefarious occuring at my daughters school. This woman did not listen at all. I have gotten a subpoena and now can prove all I was trying to say to this doctor. She did not listen and this just emboldened the mother causing more legal issues now, as I said the school stuff was true so much the state of Michigan found them in violation. My current therapist is Nadia, and I've been seeing her weekly for the past five months. She is respectful of my boundaries and consistently provides thoughtful insight, especially around relationships and challenges in my life. Before her, I worked with Suzi for a year on a biweekly basis, and she was equally supportive. This is coming from someone who typically doesn't like therapy and usually gives up on it after a week. While there were occasional scheduling gaps due to vacations, holidays, work, or distance, they were always accommodating and did their best to work with my schedule. My nurse practitioner, Luke, is informative, efficient, and straightforward, which I appreciate. The office staff has also been consistently helpful. Anytime I've had a billing issue, I've been able to call and have it resolved quickly and without hassle. I've only had to cancel one appointment. As another review mentioned there is a cancellation fee if it's not done 24 hours in advance, which is outlined in their policy, but it's far more forgiving than what most places charge. From my own experiences with other offices and hospitals, I strongly recommend doing your own research on medications, diagnoses, and treatment plans, and speaking up with any questions or concerns. Advocating for yourself and being honest about your experiences is essential to receiving the best care. Everyone is human, and even professionals can make mistakes, especially if they don't have the full picture. This is a Christian counseling office. I consider myself Christian, but I haven't actively practiced or attended church in seven years, and I'm not always interested in pursuing faith-based discussions. I've never once felt forced to talk about God or religion. Everyone has been respectful, and it's clear that people from all backgrounds are welcome. Overall, I've felt respected, supported, and well cared for throughout my time here. From the providers to the office staff, my experiences have been consistently positive, and I would confidently recommend this practice to anyone who is considering therapy or mental health care, even if they're hesitant to start.

My brother lived at a group home from 2014 til 2015 owned by Macomb res. opport. referred to me by…read moreMacomb county mental health dept. as one of their BEST group homes. My brother sunk into a severe depression while living there. One day I decided to check his toenails and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. His nails were so long they were turning sideways so he could get his shoe on and the nails were curling under his foot. The manager was informed of this in writing multiple times by the staff and she simply didn't care! Isnt his supposed to be a caring field. He also developed a medication induced tardive dyskenisia his whole body jerks with muscle spasms daily since the beginning of 2014. They did not advocate for him with the Dr.s at Macomb county comm.mental health. dept. He s disabled that s why he needs assistance. He now has permanent brain damage. The Dr. I took him to said its medication induced meaning he was continually given medication that has caused a lifelong permanent injury and I cant sue even though the case is worth over a million dollars. The multiple expert witnesses and lawyers fees and court fees will be over a million. Thanks Michigan law. P.S. Macomb county mental health dept. was given $6,000 monthly plus my brothers whole social security check and this is the result.
