Mr.Gurganus I see is one lawyer I wouldn't recommend my mother to. I see he has done not only me…read morebut other people very wrong and like the first review he left me also high and dry. Same game played on me as well I dont like being taking for granted and I hope he gets what's coming to him for these unprofessional practices.. I feel the other person who left that review I'm in the same boat because mr. GRUGANUS has cost me a total of 1000.00 that's including my day off of work to handle the mess he got me in....I really hope you sleep well mr. And I also hope this all hits you where it matters the most to you anyway and that's your pockets.....Shawn c ward

Retained Mr Gurganus for a speeding ticket obtained in Bertie County in September, 2015. Was asked…read moreto pay attorney fees, and take a speeding course online to allow for charges to be reduced and changed to a non-moving violation (like improper equipment). Took the driving course online - and sent to firm. They said everything would've taken care of. On January 30, 2017 I received a letter saying that effective 3/31/2017 my driving license would be suspended as the fine was never paid. I called the law firm that day - they said that there was an error with the Bertie court computer system and this had been taken care of, but they would check and let me know. Mind you this was 16 months after my ticket. Additionally, when I called the courthouse they told me that Mr. Gurganus had used my PJC for this ticket - and that it didn't get reduced to a non-moving violation. Not sure why I had to pay to take an online course for something that wouldn't be used. I kept calling every week - and they didn't do anything until March 13th. I literally called them at least 6 times making sure that this would be addressed as I couldn't lose my license. When I called the firm - they mentioned that this had happened to a handful of clients - something that the courthouse verified. Just google Mr. Gurganus ahead of time. I don't feel like he treated me as he would have been expected to be treated, and this isn't what I expected when I retained his services.
