I came across Honeyspot after doing a bit of research and the general opinion and website sold me on what they do. They offer a range of services including waxing, laser and a number of facial treatments as well as the spray tan. For a guy who doesn't often go to the beauty salon it can be quite daunting but the staff here were incredibly helpful and friendly. After brief discussion with the therapist I was instantly put at ease about the spray tan. The process was quick and painless and I didn't need to do much work other then stand there and get sprayed. The experience was pleasant and not too messy. I left the room satisfied and if I need a tan again would consider these guys.

The office is outdated, drab and a little sad, but I was welcomed by a lovely lady at the front desk who checked me in and also happened to be my facialist? I was immediately put at ease. We had a lovely conversation while she diamond busted my face. She was extremely knowledgable about all types of skin problems and won me over with her history treating conditions with natural therapies and oils. I was a little uncomfortable when left alone-the room was quite cold and a little bare. Some fresh new paint, a decluttering and some modern fixtures would give millennium clinic another star. She stocks a good range of products, and will recommend what you should use after a full skin analysis. I had her sort out my Son's Girlfriend, who was having terrible trouble with her skin, and within a few months, her skin was actually glowing! (I kid you not!) When I first started seeing her, I was having horrible trouble with my skin too, and was reacting to anything but olive oil. That's a thing of the past now, thank God! They are really overpriced and don't provide a good service. They don't offer EMLA cream in the treatments - you have to go out and buy it yourself from a chemist if you want it. For a clinic that charges twice what other places do, you would think they would include it in the price, but they don't because they are rubbish. Same with dressings - they might sticky tape cotton pads to your skin after your treatment (but don't count on it - at times I had to specifically ask for something to cover my skin which was bleeding). If you want proper dressings and medical tape you will need to purchase them yourself from a chemist. They also do not cleanse the area before treating it. You are expected to clean your own skin with the products in the treatment room, or request a practitioner assist you. I now go to True Skin Laser Clinic on Liverpool St. They use the exact same Q-switch laser, and the staff are a lot more qualified (they are nurses). Their treatments are better and the cost is less than 50% of what City Laser clinic will charge you (and True Skin includes numbing cream, cleansing, post-treatment balm and proper dressings.) Oh - and if you try to pay with a card (not cash) City Laser Clinic will charge you a 3% surcharge. Just the cherry on top.

This clinic is clean and all their equipment seems to be fairly new as well. All the staff are very friendly and they make me feel so welcome every visit. They carry mainly Environ & Dr Spiller products (and a few other brands). I feel that sometimes they are trying really hard to sell me these products ...which I dont really like. But they are good facial products with such extensive range that it caters for all different skin types/ concerns. Based on your skin, the beauticians here use different products to give you the ultimate pampering. I love how my skin can breathe again after each session! I am now a loyal customer :)

After a couple of sessions Maha talked me into trying Microdermabrasion for the first time. This technique uses a suction device coated with diamonds to give your skin a really effective peal to remove all the dead skin our face carries. Afterwards your face feels really soft and subtle like a baby's behind or so they say. BV Laser offers occasional specials such as happy hours in which some of their services are cheaper then usual which is great for all those soccer moms and dads of this world who are flexible on time. When they finally made contact there was little effort made to try and be accommodative with the expiry date even though they had been uncontactable. They stated that I either fitted in with them or lost the first round of laser. Eventually we reached a compromise and I was given an evening appointment but on a date that was incredibly difficult for me (I was only given the choice of one week or the 'expiry' date would hit). My main issues is their refusal to be flexible with dates even in the face of their own inability to act like a business and answer their phone, messages and emails and then making out like I was the one being difficult. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Dealing with them was an incredibly stressful and awful experience. If you don't have the facility to deal with customers who buy your service through Groupon to try out the place THEN DON'T ADVERTISE A VOUCHER.

I just came back from a hydro micro dermabrasion facial with the lovely Yasmin. My skin feels amazing! I have also had some of the nice range of New Age range facials, although the LED light therapy just didn't do it for me. Treatments are in a normal salon price range. The products on sale aren't cheap, but they don't push them too hard so it is ok if you don't want to buy them.
