This restaurant had us saying "wait, why are they being so nice to us??" And "oh my god they brought us extra potatoes and veggies and didn't even charge us!!!" That's how good it was. We ate freaking fondue for lunch and had a delicious meal with a Mountain View and were on top of the friggin world! Our waitress even offered to take a photo of us without us asking- I mean, what!? They were so kind. And the fondu was also absolutely deliciousness with fantastic spices that I've not had before. Yeah girl we'll be back!

St Moritz is one of the most important winter sports areas in Switzerland. Here you can find many miles of slopes at all difficulty levels. Not far away from the cozy chalets of St Moritz and Celerina a variety of broad slopes wait for the skiers and snowboarders, e.g. at the Munt da San Murrezan, at the Piz Nair or the Piz Schlattain where you can ski down to Celerina. Beside the alpine slopes there are other winter attractions to be enjoyed in the ski resort St Moritz - Corviglia. One of them is the big snow park situated between Corviglia and Marguns. It comes with almost all obstacles you wish for as well as a half pipe and a quarter pipe

I found out about this ski resort recently and was really excited to check it out because it's less…read morethan an hour's drive from Zürich and only CHF 35 for a day lift ticket. They also accept REKA-cards, and there is free parking... so what's not to like? Unfortunately, I didn't get to go until today, but we lucked out with the reduced price of only CHF 29!! Woo-hoo!! Score!!! No idea why they reduced the prices today, but perhaps because the weather was nice and sunny. Almost like snowboarding at Mountain High in California. I had to peel off my layers after the first run because it was so warm. Yeah, the snow was a bit patchy in places and more icy than powder, but at least I wasn't freezing my butt off like when I was in Davos or Arosa. Too bad the card reader malfunctioned in the restaurant at lunch, so I had to pay with cash instead of my REKA-card. But usually they should also accept REKA-cards there. The resort is quite small, but it's perfect for beginners to practice without the huge crowds you get in Flumserberg and in other resorts. Quite family-friendly with lots of kids about. There is only one chair lift, and the rest are those T-bar type things, so I only rode the chair lift. But it takes you to a long blue slope which is perfect to practice on. If you get better, then you can graduate to several red slopes using the same chair lift. I didn't quite manage the red slopes today because the blue one was tough enough. It's actually quite steep, so good for snowboarders. But it was actually a bit too steep for me to practice carving properly. I chickened out and began braking about halfway down because I was picking up too much speed. But very good because there isn't so much walking at flat spots or even uphill parts like you find in other resorts that have the blue runs more geared towards skiers instead of snowboarders. All-in-all, a great find close to Zürich for beginners and families. There's no Après-ski scene if you are into that, but for someone new who needs to practice and doesn't want to shell out big bucks for a place where you don't even go on most of the runs, then this is perfect!

Once there, you can enjoy watching the mountain goats grazing and begin hiking the Käse-Wanderweg which is a trail system that connects the many dairy farms in the hills of Voralberg. To close up the snow season i came here with the swedish group Swepa…read more On friday i got the train with two friends and when we got there it was snowing like crazy. The lodge is really in front of the train station and we got our room very quickly. They have a big room to leave the snow gear and i like the heating system they have for the snowboard/ski boots. I shared a double room with a friend and it was really cozy. Loved the deco of the hotel, with lots of old skis hanging on the walls. Since we were a group we already had food included in the package. So we had an apero when we got there, great breakfast, sandwiches to take with us for picnic and at night, on Saturday, a superb 3 course dinner! The sevice was great and the people super nice! The owners are swedish, so it is a popular place for them, but they all spoke german or english as well. Only minus point, was that the jacuzzi was broken, so we ended up going to another hotel to get into the spa, since the lifts were closed due to avalanche alarm on the mountain. Would love to come back, really liked it!
