EDIT: Business refuses to take any responsibility for their negligence. Horrible and neglectful…read morecustomer service. Response to review doesn't account for the fact I did bring my issues to them multiple times before reaching out to the manufacturer, and they ignored my concerns. THERE IS CHEMICAL DAMAGE TO THE PIECE I PURCHASED FROM THEM. that I made apparently to the stylist a month after purchase and I was told it's normal. I have a $100 amazon wig that has withstood use better than the $5000 one. I have since purchased high quality wigs from other retailers and that look better and have more durability. Do not let this retailer gaslight you into thinking you are the problem. Please look into other retailers in Toronto for wig purchases. I have purchased four pieces from Truly You over 5 years (3 toppers and 1 full wig). I purchased the toppers before eventually transitioning to a full wig. The toppers were without major issues, other than relatively short lifespans (~ 1 year). However my major issue was with the wig I purchased, specifically a wig that cost me over $5000. Buyer Beware; Amalia told me to only expect human hair wigs to last 6 months to a year, but I was only informed of this after purchasing. I cannot begin to describe the issues I had both with the wig and the customer service. The wig I was advised to purchase ended up being longer than I hoped for, which in itself is not a major issue, but this came at a significant additional cost. The day I received the piece, the silicon tabs on the wigs began to fall apart. I retuned to the salon after I had worn the piece for a couple weeks because I was finding the wig incredibly itchy. I asked the stylist if I was able to use wig tape on the tabs to secure the wig, and she said I could.I would later learn that these tabs were not supposed to be taped, and resulted in a lot of sticky residue around the hairline which resulted in hair getting stuck and caused balding at the hairline. The stylist also advised that she cut off the lace front on the piece because some people find them itchy. I agreed to this in desperation. I firmly believe that if the non-slip silicon tabs had not been damaged, I would never had needed the tape or had issues with the itchiness. I also had issues with the wig shedding excessively. This concerned me, so I reached out to Amalia with my concerns. After a couple emails, I came in for an appointment to have her take a look at the piece. Amalia took less than five minutes with me to discuss with me and offered me a complimentary hair treatment to combat the 'dryness'. This did not solve my issues, and I was getting frustrated of not having my concerns listened to so I contacted the wig manufacturer. After contacting the manufacturer, they got in contact with Amalia and agreed to have her ship the wig to them for inspection. After about a month and a half they sent me back a report with some findings from their inspection. Two findings that stuck out where the fact the tabs I had been taping were apparently not supposed to be taped (despite the advice the stylist gave me), and the manufacturer found evidence of chemical damage to the silicon tabs which caused them to fall apart. Given that the wig was permed, and the silicon tabs began to fall apart the day I received the wig, I suspect the damage may have happened during the perming process. However, this concern was never acknowledged, despite me bringing it up to Amalia. The manufacturer and Amalia gave me the option to have the missing hair in the hairline, removed lace front, and damaged tabs replaced at the manufacturers facility in China. Truly you offered to comp the tab replacement and after some conversation covered a bit of the rest of it. Amalia sent me an estimate which I approved, and when she had the wig back in her hands I paid the balance. When I received the wig back, it looked much better, but the lace front hadn't been restored (a service I paid ~$300 for). I ended up getting my money back without any apology for the mistake. My wig was out of my hand for about 3 months, and I ended up having to go purchase another piece to carry me through this time. I felt that Amalia brushed aside my concerns throughout the entire experience, and didn't take initiative to solve the issue. If I hadn't reached out to the manufacturer myself I don't believe the issue would have gotten resolved. The entire experience was incredibly emotionally draining and stressful for me. I felt like I had to fight to have my concerns listened to. I felt taken advantage of for someone I trusted to help me with a vulnerable situation.

Getting three stars because the owner and staff are nice. Before I go on, I must say that the old…read morelocation was a much warmer environment. The prices have gone through the roof and the quality has not gone up. The last piece that I ordered had not even been washed and one of the attachments came loose. If you purchase a piece and it is not suitable, you can't send it back. It's yours. I have been out thousands of dollars. The shaping has never been quite right and I have had to spend $80 for a cut at my hairdresser. This is "supposed" to be included with the cost of the piece. When you pay, the machines asks you to tip! 10% on thousands of dollars? Are you kidding me? No more.
