EXCEPT the guy running the train and two men cleaning the alligator pen. The girl in the bird encounter cage was rude, seemed very annoyed by everyone walking in to visit, and talking on her phone. Some of the cages had a lot of trash. I feel this place has a lot of potential and could use some updates. The boat ride was very nice but I don't recommend with a toddler who is on the move as it was hard to be still the whole time.

Came to Monroe on a layover (I'm a flight attendant) and decided to check out the zoo. Didn't…read morereally expect too much but for $6 it was pretty cool. They have a semi decent selection of animals and the zoo itself isn't terribly small. Definitely got my steps in. I would say it's more for kids because of the size of the zoo but adults can enjoy it as well. One thing I really didn't like tho is that some of the animals seemed to be really depressed. A lot of them were pacing around their enclosures like they wanted to escape. I don't blame them cause a lot of the enclosures are WAY too small for the animal it holds. It's also not good to have them be alone. Felt really bad when I thought about it. I think the only reason I would go back is to support the animals. I mean, once you've been there once it really doesn't seem like a repeat place.

Highly recommend this place! We reserved a cabin here for 4 nights and it was such a great time!…read moreThe cabins are like an Airbnb, they have air conditioning, towel services and running water with a shower! Ours had 2 bunk beds in one room, 1 queen bed in another room and a pull out couch. Very spacious with 3 parking spots right in front! It was so clean and stocked with all the essentials. The staff here are also amazing! We knew we would be driving in after hours and they made sure we could access our cabin and check in the next morning! We even rented 2 kayaks and they made that process was too! We had easy access to the docks and were able to get some fishing done! The kids loved the park and we even hiked on the nearby trails! This place is kept so nice and felt private! We had such a great experience we would do this again and recommend staying here!

The trails are essentially imaginary…read more They don't appear to do any upkeep on them and despite hiking most the way around the area on the map, the white and green trails were all I spotted. Neither were very inspiring. I definitely spent more time picking up trash than enjoying the park. They have a pool, but it's not in service and the visitor center was also closed. It would have been nice to know these things before paying for a complete waste of time. My favorite part was the spigot in the picture. Instead of using a frost-proof setup, they littered the landscape with fiberglass and duct tape. Unreal...

I'm not looking for perfection but for a safe and thoughtful session with challenge and great transitions. I was thrilled, when based on only 2 yelp reviews, I was able to find an amazing place. First of all, Donna, the owner and teacher was very welcoming on the phone. She totally got that I was in town for work for one night only and never put the sales pitch on me. She just wanted me to come and get the knots out of my back after a six hour drive. Her studio is stunning. From the stained concrete floors, to the gray blue walls that changed colors as the sun was going down to the amazing wood cathedral ceiling with gentle lights strung across the room, I felt ensconced in comfort. I saw the shelves fully stocked with yoga equipment. The music was soothing. The participants, who were clearly "regulars" went out of their way to greet me and made room for me. She made a quick announcement about an upcoming event where a master yogi was coming to town and encouraged the group not to miss this event. We started class. Her directions were clear, easy to follow and she moved from one part of the room so we all knew what we were doing next. One pose was totally out of my range because my hip flexors were so tight from the car ride. She came behind me and gently got me into the pose. It was awesome. I felt fierce and accomplished. The final resting pose was capped off when she placed a cool, clean stone on each person's forehead. I had never experienced that before and it was lovely! She's moving to a new place. I will definitely track her down. PS the class price was totally affordable and worth every penny!
