The staff here are as rude as they come. Especially the blonde curly hair woman. I paid for my husband and I to skate. (Both of us are greater skaters.) I had to try on 3 different pairs of skates on and he had to try 4 different ones. None of the shoes were fitting right, either too big or too small so we finally gave up because we couldn't skate at all with them on. We arrived at 7:10pm and left at 7:30pm and the staff said they couldn't do a refund for the skates or the admission itself. She never once said I'm sorry. She never said she'd help me find the right shoes, so we left with no refund ever after being there for only 20 minutes. What a joke. read more

I recently had a birthday party at Skate World. I was able to schedule her party with options online, so that was helpful. When we arrived for the party, everything we asked for was set up and ready to go! The kids and adults had a Wonderful time! My daughter has sensory processing disorder and a dairy and egg allergy. When we get invited to events and birthday parties etc we know we have to provide items for Sariah. We used Sariah's free azzip kids meal we got at the last Autism of Evansville event to get her an allergy free pizza to take to a birthday party at Skateworld. Jeff was stopped at the door carrying the kids azzip pizza because no outside food is aloud. Jeff explained sariah has allergies and we are here for a birthday party so we have to provide her food. They lady at the door said I understand that is fine and let him in with us. I put the pizza on the table so the kids could get skates and we could help them skate. The kids were on the floor having fun and we heard the announcement that the parties pizza was ready so we headed over to eat with the party. We couldn't find Sariah's pizza anywhere. I stopped a blond white "lady" with curly hair and said ma'am we are with a party and I brought food for my daughter since she is high needs and has allergies. She said very rudely oh yeah thats not aloud. I said you threw my daughters food away? She said if you would have had it scanned at the door you wouldn't have been let in. I said it was scanned at the door and the young sweet black lady let us in and said that's fine she understands. She said well I'm going to talk to her now because that shouldn't have been aloud we thought it was a desert. I said so you opened my daughters food, saw it was food and threw it away. I said now I need a dairy and egg free pizza for my daughter. She said very rudely you NEED one or you WANT one. I said well seeing as my 3 year old had food for her okayed to bring in and you took it and threw it away so now she has no food I NEED a pizza. I walked over to the table with the party and sat by Sariah and the lady came back out and said okay for dairy free I can do tater tots or chicken I said she can do tater tots to make it easy. The lady said okay that's $3. I said no, you threw away my daughters $7 pizza made specifically for her so you can make her tots for free. The lady very rudely said oh no, if you want food for her you can pay $3 for tater tots. I said absolutely not I already had food for her. I was prepared to take care of her needs. She said well I'm not giving you food for free. I said so you are going to let my daughter who has sensory needs being tested for autism and other diagnosis in march whom has a dairy and egg allergy sit and be hungry and watch everyone else eat? It's not her fault she has high needs and allergies so that's why I prepare. She said no it's not her fault it's her mothers fault. I said excuse me. Are you saying it's by fault I have a high needs child with dietary restrictions now, after throwing away her food that was approved at the door you are basically telling me it's my fault I brought her discriminating against her special needs? She said no I'm just telling you it's 3$. I said no absolutely not. And she just walked away. A really sweet gentlemen stepped in and tried to resolve the issue but they were out of cauliflower pizza crust. I am absolutely appalled at how this lady talked to me and treated my child. No one stopped to ask anyone at the party what the pizza was for or who okayed it nothing. They just took it and threw it away. I can tell you this. For that being the one and only local skate rink I absolutely don't support them due to that one employee and how she talked to me and treated me and my child. Her customer service sucks and she doesn't deserve the privilege of working with children and families. I am my daughters best advocate and when she doesn't have a voice it's MY JOB to be her voice. read more

I would just like to say I came into the rink wearing and purple shirt from target that has spaghetti straps I was immediately asked to move my hair from my shoulders so the woman could "check my straps".I was told that unfortunately I need something to cover the straps and that I could pay for a shirt that could cover them.The audacity to have a dress code so serious that you can't even wear a hat backwards is insane.When I come into an establishment I prefer to have no one look at me and say Check her just because of a piece of clothing I am wearing.I hope no one else has the experience that I had when coming here.this was outrageous and not okay.I recommend this place to no one. read more

Their dress code is ridiculous. My niece wasn't allowed in with spaghetti straps. When asked why they just said it was part of the dress code. The dress code also states hats have to be worn correctly. We were also told she could purchase a shirt from them to wear. We won't be back. read more

I had my sons birthday party this past weekend and was pleased with how often we were checked on, however within being there 20 minutes my sons shirt was soaked from sweat it was so hot. Several from our party left early due to it being to hot, we had a 5 month old baby we started taking clothes off and he was getting sick from being overheated. We found one vent that had cold air coming out but when we found it, so did everyone else so it also became hot with everyone trying to get air. I don't believe we will have another birthday party at skate world with the horrible heat we had to deal with. read more
