It is evident that they have been able to maintain the quality and caliber of education to the founder's high standards. Truck driving school is quite an investment of time and money and you have to make sure that its for you. You also want to do it right - it's a hell of a lot of responsibility and it is not easy. Driving a truck is a calling and a profession. I took time to research the trucking schools between the Canadian border and south to Everett. I checked out the reviews, the websites and I took the time to drive around Skagit, Whatcom and Snohomish counties looking for a great truck driving school - driving around their yards and snooping around. I chose TaylorMade Truck Driving School in Burlington and I have no regrets. They are not the least costly school, but the program is very thorough and anticipates all of the costs extra. They will work with you, and they won't give up on you. This made all of the difference for me. The instruction was top notch. The instructors are all very different, but they meet and talk in the mornings and at the end of each day. Each student's learning day is graded; the score cards are used as talking points between the instructors. This communication of student progress really allows for a high level of individually tailored instruction. The best part is that the lead instructor is a natural at teaching. He really gets it and truly understands that every person learns differently; the key to success in teaching is finding out how each student learns. It certainly worked for me, an old guy who needed a late life career change. This old dog learned some new tricks and I have the folks at Taylor Made TDS to thank. They rock!

This guy knows more about the industry and the vehicles than one hundred people have forgotten. He has designed transport equipment that would blow you mind. My point is, he REALLY knows his stuff. In addition, Glenn knows SO many people, that you will have great inside information for getting a job upon completing the course. The second instructor, Nick, is also very good. The DOT test is done on site at the school! That means you are on your "home course' for the test. The class is flexible and the environment for learning is relaxed and still very thorough. It's kind of a combination of what you need balanced with what you are capable of doing. The pass rate is well over 90%. I got a GREAT job right after I got my CDL.

The staff at Munro's made me feel comfortable and at ease every step of the way! After reading other reviews and making note to be aware of the issues mentioned in the negative reviews, I proceeded with Munro's. Their website has all the information needed, the staff was very helpful and friendly on the phone and in person, making sure I knew what was to be expected, along with their policies/procedures and the instructors were great as well! I cannot recommend Munro's highly enough, and with multiple locations, it makes it very convenient as well!! NOTE: Be sure to listen to the staff as well as carefully read the website as to what is required and expected and you can avoid the "Negative" experience others reviewed about on here!!

I got two points deducted for "driving too slow" but I was always going the appropriate speed limit. My examiner was very picky over everything which was upsetting since I was so close to passing. I drove safely and did good on everything else, I should've passed that day but all they care about is having more money. I don't recommend this place and please go somewhere else if you can!

The owner, Bal, went above and beyond -- he was understanding, patient, and genuinely cared about helping me succeed. As someone who's dyslexic and gets anxious around tests, I really appreciated how flexible and calm the environment was. Bal let me take the written test at my own pace, moved appointments around for me, and even let me stay at the office until I finally passed both tests. That kind of support and understanding is rare. If you want a driving school that actually treats you like a person -- not just another student -- this is the place. Bal is the man, and I can't recommend his school highly enough. Dave.

The instructor's attitude and the office handling are the worst anyone could've imagine. As a new driver in the lesson, I often have to grasp the feeling of turns & stops with the car maneuver. The surroundings and traffic near the Lynnwood office is quite complicated and could be stressful for a new driver, but the instructor repeatedly forces me to take those routes (without properly prepping me or demonstrating what needs to improve), often yelling "gogogooo do you hear me??". I had to switch instructor, but she's not better in any way. I eventually went to another driving school in Redmond according to my friend's recommendation.
