The SJ Lounge is available for frequent travelers (with the right status level) and first class ticket holders so similar concept to the airline lounges. The lounge is located above McDonalds (walk up the stairs or use the elevator) and while it occupies a fairly large space it is often fairly crowded.
They offer a range of fruit, pastries and some bread. Nothing special but good enough as a snack. There is of course also some coffee and tea as well as newspapers, magazines and free wifi. It is also possible to buy some food from the best restaurant at the central station, Luzette, to either have here or take with you on the train.
I usually stop by to grab a quick bite before catching the train but as a lounge it is nothing special. It is however a much calmer environment than the rest of the station so if I have some time to kill before catching a train I prefer spending it here. read more
