Her location was a bit tricky to find at first but once inside think of the hallways as making an H shape -- there are 2 hallways on each side with a smaller hallway connecting them across the middle. I felt that it was a misleading quote, but since I was there - I decided to just pay extra. Now onto the service itself, my nail tech was very rough when removing my 3D nail art. I audibly yelled when she ripped it off with pliers without a warning. I can see the bruise under my nail since its purple now. Shaping wise, not even and I still have bits of cuticle stuck on my nail - even though I paid extra to have them removed... The overall vibe of the salon is a little older and aged. Gets the job done, but was painful and not too thorough.

I got lucky when I went in, the other girl said I was next to get my massage, she was just finishing up another client. So I just poked around at their products. The area is cozy, not spacious like your average Massage Envy but definitely not lacking. They have a lot of essential oils that are used in aromatherapy. I'm honestly not one for aromatherapy, BUT when showed how to include the oils into my diet, I started to incorporate the oils into my life. They served this Chinese medicine type of tea. NOT your average Oolong/green tea, it brought me back to my mother's medicine cabinet of herbal medicine. I didn't mind it, but it was unexpected. They had soft music playing but I didn't pay too much attention to it. For facial, I saw that they used Magnolia Orchid products. I actually bought their products for gifts and used their masks. I didn't get a facial today because I have a certain girl that I go to. The massage customer before me came out, and he looked pretty pleased with his massage. Heard him saying to his other friend, if you don't want it, let me have your massage instead. He wasn't some small, weak looking thing either. Then my turn!! Turns out I found the massage therapist that left my previous massage spot. Since her, I haven't found the best massage ever. If you're looking for the REAL Chinese massage, Sally is your girl. Her scalp and upper back massage are BOMB. She always asked if I want her to scratch out/crack my back. It's the relief I've been looking for since July. She's a tiny looking girl, but man those hands and elbows!! If you're used to Swedish style massages, I wouldn't recommend this place. But if you're looking to get rid of knots and tension build up, this is your place. The prices are listed in the store but it's all in Chinese for now. English menu will be produced later. My one hour massage was to be $68 but I paid $38 for today for first time customers. Even though she remembered me, haha. Definitely coming back when they have a massage package up.

I really like hard massages, but the specialist that came out was kinda tiny, leaving me a bit skeptical. Low and behold, she had an iron grip! The massage was the real deal, strong, yet relaxing! The massage was very thorough and I was extremely pleased with my session. A few days have already passed and I'm still feeling great from it! Another thing of note, was the atmosphere of the spa. While not extremely large, the ambiance was spot on. From when I stepped in, till the massage, up to when I left, I felt relaxed, calm and at ease. I found myself relaxed to the point where I had to fight to stay awake, just so I could keep enjoying the experience! Did I enjoy my experience? Yes. Will I go back? Definitely! Would I recommend? What more could you ask for? Wait, there's more. THE FULL BRAZILIAN WAS $30. Unheard of! And trust me, I know... I called around every reputable waxing spot you can think of in OC and LA. I've known about Nena's Waxing and their low prices for over a decade but never made the effort to come in. I should've come sooner because I'm so happy with my experience. The place is decently sized with several private waxing stations. Zero frills, straight to the point, and I left with flawless results. Their communication is great too! I sent a general inquiry through Yelp, then was contacted by Ashley directly. I was able to get in the very next day with no problem. Depending on who you schedule your wax with, you could get in as early as 8a or as late as 8p. AMAZING! Ashley is an extremely talented waxer! I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a Brazilian whether it's your first time or even if you're seasoned. She strategically uses a mix of soft and hard wax, and makes you feel like you're in good hands from the get. Talking to her felt like catching up with an old friend. Nena's Waxing is a little out of the way but I would gladly return for any of my waxing needs.
