Negligent customer service at best and at worst a malicious way to overcharge and rip off customers.
Two dents and some scratches-I returned the vehicle about 2 hours later. The insurance says damage beyond £500 are covered. But they charged £1700. There was work done to the vehicle that had nothing to do with the damages. I complained and they removed the irrelevant charges still leaving a £1300 bill.
It was because I had not called to report the incident within 12 hours. They said I was trying to hide the damages by standing in front of them upon return.
I thought they had seen the damages right when I drove up and I asked if they needed anything else from me before leaving.
£1300 of damage. They had to remove the door to the van and replace the runners for it, and repaint the entire van. How could I have stood in front of it to hide it?
The damage was still found and documented by them within an hour of it's return- well within the 12 hour period.
