They will not do anything about neighbors smoking indoors. My whole family has asthma and I've been asking for help for weeks. They don't care. I literally went to urgent care and the Office doesn't do anything. Also, they got toxic paint spray all over my apartment and wouldn't pay for us to be in a hotel until we could get it cleaned up. They offered my kids and I an empty apartment to sleep on the floor. They'd literally rather watch you choke to death so they can replace you with someone without a disability than make your home safe. read more

The staff is rude, and work orders are never filled. I've heard from neighbors that several apartments are filled with mold, and have personally seen photos of mushrooms growing out of the carpets. We've been charged upwards of 100 dollars without notice after the staff completely fumbled a parking lot repaving that was supposed to take three days but instead took two weeks. The apartment manager sees herself as above her lowly tenants, a queen resting on a pile of money with no time for peasants. She's rude, talks down, and seems to believe she's your mother, using your name sternly the same way a school teacher scolds a ten year old. Do not move here. Being homeless is better. read more

Let me start by sharing that I have lived in many apartment complexes over the last 6 years, and have never left a bad review before this. I have enjoyed every living experience thus far... and then I moved into Six Trails. This apartment complex is the Spirit Airlines of Apartment Living. Have they ever cleaned the common areas (stairwells, laundry rooms, etc.) since I moved in 10 months ago? No. You will find the property managers chain smoking outside (breaking their own policy of smoking 25 feet away from the buildings) instead of actually managing their property. There is litter everywhere, constantly. I was embarrassed to have company over because of the conditions of these apartments. The ONLY pro that I can think of is the woodsy view. Which many others at Six Trails cannot vouch for, because their previously woods-y view is turning into another set of apartments right before their eyes. Back to that spirit airlines reference.. We moved into a dirty apartment. Picture this: walking into your new place on move-in day, and instead of unpacking your furniture and boxes, you spend the whole day cleaning the place. I am talking socks-on-the floor-(from prior tenant I'm guessing?)-food-on-the kitchen-floor dirty. For the month of November, they took rent out twice (charging me double) and causing me an overdraft fee. They just switched payment systems which caused the error, but this was somehow my fault when talking to the property manager, Liz, over the phone. The property managers do not know how to manage their properties. Instead of righting their wrongs, they deny. I cannot emphasize enough how horrible my living experience here has been. If you are considering this apartment, do yourself a favor and look absolutely everywhere else before Six Trails. read more

the management is extremely unprofessional and always talks down to you, if you have a problem you need fixed you'll get a million excuses as to why they can't and they'll tell you how hard their job is. i have been charged extra for things without notice or proper correspondence. the way this place is ran is manipulative and disgusting. do not rent an apartment at six trails. read more

Price of laundry went up for the second time in under 6 months. But the same small crappy washer and dryers that don't work well

This is an email I was forced to send today after our experiences here have culminated to the point where we are no longer safe living in this apartment: --- I am writing to you to let you know that we have had so many issues with the apartment and with getting ahold of anyone in maintenance or the office. Our AC is still not on. Everything in our fridge is rotten because our electricity was off for days and it was near impossible to get anyone out here to fix it. I had to sit outside of the office for a half-hour yesterday just waiting for someone in the office to be able to talk to me. When we do get maintenance out here, it is a temporary fix every single time. Nothing has ever been permanently fixed for over a year. The only time there was a "long term" fix was when Six trails hired an actual electrician that found that there had been a fire that your maintenance team couldn't find after literal days of being in here trying to figure this out. A fire that the horribly done and old wiring here caused that we never even knew occurred in our ceiling. Then today, we are told by maintenance that having our fan switched from "auto" to "on" is putting us in danger for overheating and losing power? I am absolutely sure that is not the case. The wiring in this apartment has something wrong with it and it is clear we need a specialist out here if we are going to get any real answers or permanent fixes, or, for that matter, even be safe living here. We are constantly ignored, lied to, and treated like we don't matter. When we have an issue, we make phone call after phone call and follow up every time. There is no excuse for how horrible our living conditions are and how consistently we are ignored by the staff here. ---- The landscaping here hasn't been done in who knows how long. There is a new worker in the office every time I go in there that has no clue what to do to help me. We have lost hundreds of dollars in groceries and are currently walking around our home sweating because of the AC that has been broken on and off for over a year. If I could give a 0 star I would!!!! Worst place you could choose to live! If you want a place that is run down and ran by a bunch of people that don't know what they are doing then this is the place for you! Never expect a reply to maintiance requests or anyone to pick up the phone even during "business hours" whenever those even are I don't think anyone ever works there. I have called 7 times last week because the A/C has been out for 1.5 weeks so far and no call or email response after messages have been left. I somehow managed to get a hold of someone the other day and told her the issue and she said she would get it figured out and give me a call back 5 minutes later.... well I'm sure you could guess by now that that never happened so I called back about 30 minutes later and there was no answer and have not heard back since.. if you ever have an emergency of a flooding scenario expect everything to be ruined and no response from maintaince or the office, the emergency maintenance call line is always sent right to voicemail and calls are never returned. Im ashamed to even have to give this a one star I could write a novel on all the things six trails of saline does wrong. I would NEVER EVER RECOMMEND this place to anyone even if I disliked them. My new apartment in Saline is the best! Great view, nice landscaping, a pool and sun deck, and a playground for the kids. The office people are very kind and responsive, and repair guys are friendly (at least the one who fixed my sink drain was nice - haven't had to have a lot of repairs - the place is immaculate!) My husband loves the workout area and I love the pool! Rooms are large and airy, and the appliances are clean (I usually have to scrub the oven when I move into a new apartment). All I had to do here was move in and start enjoying life! read more

I absolutely hate it here. If I was not forced to stay I would not. Two washers. Two dryers for three buildings. So half the time when you want to do laundry you can't. They raised the price of laundry since I originally moved in and the machines are horrid. We are being forced now to purchase renters insurance, did I mention they raised the price of rent as well?!! Dog poop everywhere, and yet they put signs up saying if you're caught letting your dog poop and not picking it up that you can get evicted but they never monitor to see who in fact is letting there dogs poop wherever and not pick it up, nothing here is electric friendly. I pay the same amount to heat my apartment as my mother does her 4 bedroom house. You're forced to pay your own water. When you voice complaints NOTHING gets done. My neighbor is loud all day everyday nothing gets done, water leaks into your apartment when it rains again, nothing. I would not recommend living here unless it's absolute last resort. I would give 0 stars if possible. I love Saline but six Trails continues to go down hill. read more
