There is a cash point next to Sainsbury, and there are toilets upstairs, although the ladies toilet is usually very busy. You can walk all the way through centre and cut through to other shops like WH Smiths, Animal, Superdrug etc.

The arcade in which The Real Mccoy sits feels a little bit magical and it's a great pastime to go and have a rummage around the pretty dresses and waistcoats. I used to think I'd get my wedding dress here and, while this hasn't quite turned into reality, I have bought many a good item (my first purchase here being a lime green boa which I thought was the business) and my partner has too. If you want to get some vintage haul and then go for a pretty decent cup of coffee then head here!

It has also lost it's 'home' section. The nearest home section is now in Torquay of all places and NOT the regions Capital! This is very poorly allocated, as Torquay doesn't have the 'footfall' of Exeter, and it's based in a very small and limited parking estate called 'The Willows'. Very inconvenient when this is over half an hour away, and then with 'seasonal' traffic, you are looking at more than double the time to get there. VERY off putting! Come on M&S! Pull your finger out and be more creative with what you have. I don't appreciate when I asked the question in store about homeware, to then be told "to look online"! I hardly call that 'customer service' in the first instance, and don't most people like to see what they buy before they buy it? rather than looking at a picture online??? It doesn't give the true indication of size, width, etc...

At the time, I found a beautiful pewter dish for my mother's birthday present that I brought all the way back on the plane with me. It has since taken its place in the centre of her dining table, as she loves it so much. Now that I have moved here, I decided that I should once again go back to this beautiful, inviting shop to have another look around. I was fortunate enough to find a gorgeous and reasonably priced Arts and Crafts side table for my living room. There was a lovely woman working there when I went in with my husband, and we found her to be very helpful, welcoming and kind. She really made us feel welcome in the store, and was very patient as we asked her questions and looked around. The pieces on offer are very good quality, and there are a number of unusual finds. We were excited to learn that they will be expanding the shop in the New Year! We will definitely be back to Exeter Antique Lighting. :)

For the last few years Animal has been associated with sponsoring Exeter's 'Big Screen in the Park' summer events, organised in collaboration with Exeter Phoenix Art Centre.

There are lots of little gifts as well as a large party accessories area where you can find everything from balloons to party favours. It is not just a place for children as there are many big kids in there as well as there is a large range of retro sweets as well. Very good for children spending their pocket money, very good for adults buying sweets to make their own retro sweet boxes or hampers. The staff are very helpful as well. The shop is sectioned, with each person renting a section to show there antiques off. Some things can be quite expensive, however there are soom good bargains to be had and its great fun looking through all the stuff. We certainly spent along time looking all around and purchased a few interesting items. Its open 7 days a week, 10am to 5pm in the winter, and 10am to 6pm in the summer from easter onwards,
