Even school tutoring wasn't doing it. So we tried Slyvain and this worked out the best. After a few months, my daughter caught up in what she missed out on. She did well in the last semester and started the new school year acing everything. She took some time off from tutoring, but she is back to help her reinforce some weak areas and prepare for next year. I recommend bringing your child here to catch up on what your child missed due to COVID. It will be well worth it.

Good school if you have an above average or gifted student, otherwise don't bother. I found this…read moreschool to be mostly about show-boating and a social status contest rather than genuinely caring about students. They care if your child meets their mold. My child was deemed behind. Had them tested to normal results. Tutor said curriculum was too advanced and not developmentally appropriate. The teacher, Ms. O in 4th grade could not be bothered, furthermore she had never taught the primary grades. Her remedy was "to hold my child back." Which seldom is done anymore. I also found school's principal nice but ineffective. To make a long story short, my child is now an honor student in high school. Its a nice school but wasn't a good fit for us.

I had a good learning experience at Emerald Nursing School. I recently took a class to get…read morecertified as a nursing assistant. The class was reasonably priced. It finished in about three weeks. If you're able to learn fast, you'll breeze right through it. If you can't, I would recommend a longer program. They have an eight-week weekend option at Emerald. The tuition also includes the textbook and scrubs to wear for clinicals. You don't get to keep the text book. The state exams are separate costs. The class includes a lecture and skills lab, along with clinicals five days a week. If we weren't going through a pandemic, you would go to clinicals at a long term care facility aka a nursing home or assisted living facility. Once you finish the class, you take a state exam. The state exams are delayed right now. They'll hopefully resume in July, maybe August. You're still able to find jobs in healthcare by finishing the class I took. The classes are pretty small, which is good for me. There was a total of nine students in my class. You have to wear a mask at all times and social distance always. The staff is also kind and informative. Overall a good experience here. It's affordable and finishes quickly. Oh and another thing, you also get CPR certified after taking the nursing assistant class. That's typically a separate cost.
