Sarah is very hands on, proactive, attentive to detail and yet still keeps an eye on the bottom line. She has previous extensive property management experience and works hard to keep her units taken care of. Jamey handles maintenance and rehab work. He is also very attentive to detail and plans ahead for ways to make future needed maintenance easier as well. We found out a few months ago that a lot of maintenance had been deferred for years plus our unit had a lot of annoying issues (who wants to sit on a rocking toilet?!). They want to help keep our unit in great shape, so our renters are happy, and so that our investment is taken care of and lasts. And, we want that, too. They came up with a plan and estimates. Both Sarah and Jamey were great to work with. We ended up doing a partial rehab, but the place looks better than when we had bought it. They helped a lot with picking out new flooring, new paint, and other things like faucets and sinks that honestly we didn't have much prior experience with. Sarah was great about keeping me in the loop by texting, calling, or emailing me to let me know the status of projects/issues (as is typical with rehabs, things didn't always go according to plan). She also sent pictures and videos of the issues, so we could understand the need to tweak our original plan as well as pictures/videos of the finished work (the flooring looks amazing!!!). Because the rehab was not planned for, both of them found creative ways to help us stay at or below our budget which we really appreciated. Everyone who has seen our unit loves it! Checking faithfully in our area for years... Suddenly I found something I wanted to see immediately, I didn't call "her." I found Chris Coscarella from a review on Yelp. Sure enough he answered the phone immediately. And wasn't put off that we were not all cash buyers. Not pre qualified. We were looking. And we were looking for an agent who was willing to work for us. No promises. He immediately got us an appointment on a house that I found after only 3 hours live online. It was priced to sell and their was a lot of activity and interest on the property. A complex situation with many moving parts. Yet he held the reins and made sure with all of our enthusiasm that we didn't make any mistakes. He recommended Prospect mortgage which I do too. If you are in California, Debbie Katt is so creative, fast, and smart. But for on island we worked with a gentleman Chris recommended. Doug Steiner and his assistant Leslie Shoemaker. Standouts both, I am so impressed. Getting us the best interest rate, no points. Available for every question, misunderstanding, fear. We ended in up in a bidding war. Chris was sublime; Zen even. For his ability to be composed in the trenches, that's the kind of person you want to work with, someone who doesn't get flustered. He thinks through and ahead in situations like a chess player. Detailed and considerate as if he were buying for his own family. I absolutely trust him and cannot recommend him enough.

GARDEN ISLAND RENTALS completely botched our arrival. We received our arrival correspondence…read moreWITHOUT AN ACCESS CODE TO GET INTO THE HOUSE. Four women and a 6 month old baby arrived at 9:00 pm to a dark house. We tried to correspond with the office as soon as we received the memo before we left San Diego, during their office hours, we then called and texted their emergency numbers after we landed on the island. WE GOT NO RESPONSE. The company blamed a "computer glitch," but DIDN'T even call the next day. We finally gained entrance with the help of the Baby Gear Rental Company. The House was awesome but BEWARE of the GARDEN ISLAND RENTAL STAFF. WE HAD BIG PROBLEMS WITH AVAILABILITY AND LACK OF RESPONSE.
