Came here for a meal on a Tuesday evening. Very busy but still plenty of room to stretch you your…read morelegs. We sat upstairs in the outdoor area and the view was beautiful. One thing to check is whether they are allowing anyone to smoke. The waiter said when its busy they don't allow it but I would always double check as this indicates it is sometimes allowed. I had oysters to start. I asked for half normal and half grilled with parmesan and breadcrumbs off their menu they were happy to accommodate. The grilled oysters were great and definitely worth a go. For my main it was steak with shrimp in a garlic butter. Cooked to medium rare. The quality of the steak was nothing to go wild about but for what I paid (around £20) the quality felt about right. I also ordered the hand cut chips (they brought me the frozen ones though and had to wait quite a while to get corrected but they did apologise and gave me my second glass of wine free (£7) which I appreciated). When I got the chips they were pretty good. I also ordered spinach as a side dish. This was bland. It was literally just cooked spinach without any seasoning or extra ingredients. Avoid. For dessert I had the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. The ice cream was excellent and think if I go back I'll just have that as the sticky toffee and cake was ok but nothing to rave about. All in all worth a visit for the atmosphere and the view. I think if I came back though I would probably stick more with the seafood option as from the other tables were being served and what my friend had this looks a much better option.

We went for a birthday meal and ended up waiting an awfully long time for our courses, the staff seemed less than bothered by this. The food was nice, but perhaps not nice enough to wait such a long time for. My moules were fine, but rather on the small side. There are much better restaurants in Jersey in a similar price bracket, I'd always pick El Tico over this place every time.

Very popular because the food is very good and very reasonably priced. The best burger they do is the DOUBLE DECKER HEART RECKER ! This burger is massive and only the real hungry should order as it's 2 burger 2 bacon 2 cheese and onion, but would highly recommend it and most of the menu as well. Great in the summer as you sit over looking Rozel harbour and beach.
