Why when you are building a new venue do you not make room for people to be comfortable in their seats? There is just not enough room for legs and feet in each row. Its almost impossible to walk down a row to your seat without stepping on others or almost falling. Once I got to my seat, as I sat down, I found my feet were jammed against the chair in front of me. Thank goodness their was a small kid next to me so I could steal a bit of his space! This is an Absolute Fail in building design. I am not from Sioux Falls, but I would not go back because it is not worth the uncomfortable seating. Too bad, because otherwise this place is pretty impressive.

There's plenty of food vendors and they don't all serve the same thing so walk around before making decisions if you plan on eating. I can't speak for all the stands but the food I had wasn't very good. During the concert the sound system did it's job flawlessly and the projection screens showed a crystal clear view of the stage for those who had trouble seeing or for those who wanted to take a picture but couldn't get good quality shots of the stage like myself. I think the organization for getting into the venue could have been a little better but it was still fairly quick with no trampling incidents that I'm aware of. I would come to this venue again for a concert.

I work for a child care program and we have to take the kids indoors when it's bad weather. We took…read morethe kids to skate city this time and as soon as we walked in the staff was very rude towards not only the staff but the kids. All of the kids were being very respectful and using their manners like normal but the skate staff couldn't care to give them the time of day. One kid was on the verge of tears after he accidentally spilled his slushy on the rink floor the one girl working basically yelled at him and immediately ran off to tell them a kid purposely spilled his drink on the floor. Most of our staff has been working over 48 hours straight if we are able to handle the kids and continue to be respectful and treat them like real people the staff at skate city can do that for an hour or two. It made me very angry to see people that are supposed to have customers service skills be this rude and disrespectful.

I need to preface this review with a bit of a disclaimer. I have never been a hockey fan. My only…read moreexperience with hockey has been playing floor hockey in high school P.E. and seeing short snippets on TV. I know very little about it and am probably not a very good judge of quality. Now, with all that out of the way, I have to admit that I love Stampede hockey. I had always heard that hockey, even more than other sports, is a much better experience live. Well, if my experience is any indication, its absolutely true. The speed and excitement just doesn't translate all that well to TV. My wife and I have also been to both Sioux Falls Canaries (baseball) games and a Sioux Falls Skyforce (basketball) game and can say that Stampede is, by far, our favorite. Part of it is personal preference, sure, but that isn't the whole story. The Stampede seem to have a much more devoted following and the crowds tend to be much more into the game. Most people in attendance seem to be following the action closely and are genuinely invested in the outcome. Considering this is a smaller, local team, I find that impressive. The prices are very reasonable. The cheapest seats are $7.50 on up to $20.00 or so for the premium spots. The Sioux Falls Arena honestly doesn't have a bad seat in the whole building. You can easily see the action from any location. Sure, closer is always better, but the $7.50 seats are just fine. The bottom line is that if you aren't a hockey fan going into a Sioux Falls Stampede game, you may just be one on your way out.
