It is actually a retirement home for single/widowed women who meet specific requirements. The grounds are beautiful and the entrance is grand. The 2 rooms where we dined had lovely chandeliers with the traditional heavy draperies, and, of course, a grand fireplace. How else could they stay warm before heating came along??? The delicious dinner consisted of: small pretzel pastry with french butter, grilled fish with avocado salsa, tournedos of beef with shallots and red wine jus, potatoes and vegetables, and for dessert, Mascarpone tart with sour cream, raspberry cream & fresh blackberries. And don't forget the wine !!!
