We have been continually hounded how bad it is we consume well water (gasp) and that my child desperately needs fluoride supplements. They offer no other recommendations on dental wellness other than fluoride, fluoride, fluoride!! This is the third visit where my child has fallen ill immediately after her visit with symptoms of "fluoride toxicity." This is the third time the dentist applied fluoride without asking my permission first. Do yourself a favor and find a holistic dentist who actually cares about the health and wellbeing of your child, not just pushing fluoride and other unnecessary meds/chemicals.

Imagine mixing a preschool teacher with a dentist, that's Shiny Chompers. They welcome new patients by name, and the reception is filled with TV, toys, tablets, and a large fish tank. Parking can be limited, but there is an elevator to take the stroller up to the second floor that the office is located on. They are incredibly thorough and make each session enjoyable and comfortable. They have tvs and sunglasses for kids to use during their dental appointments and always send kids home with a goody bag and token to use at one of the many vending machines filled with prizes in the lobby.

Because , of the difficulty ( she was terrified and it took 3 people to hold her to have this done ) the work wasn't done well. This was done to her two front teeth. Before this she always had a big smile. I have taken her to two Dentist since and been told this was totally unnecessary work that was done to her. I know as a Mom this has impacted her self esteem. My son is on the autism spectrum, and we've been making progress with dental visits. This would have been his 3rd visit with Dr Kantor. While attempting to get my son in the cleaning chair using the First and Then method, Dr. Kantor insulted my parenting skills and was insensitive to my son when she said, "it's as simple as put him in the chair". I responded that if it were that simple it would have been done. However, as per her request, I attempted to put my son in the chair (even though I knew he wasn't ready) he kicked and screamed, (nearly kicked over her dental equipment) my son is 6 years old, 60 pounds and about 4ft tall. Instead of continuing to try and putting my son in a worst emotional state, I decided to leave. As we were leaving Dr Kantor tries to snatch her mirror away from my son, he was using the mirror as a Stemming tool. I blocked her snatch with my arm and handed her the mirror which caused my son to throw an even bigger fit about the mirror. My 3 sons have been going to Dr Kanter for over a year and I was shocked and disappointed today to see her respond to my sons disability in this way. Needless to say I will never return. And I recommend that if your child has a special need that you NOT visit Dr Kanter.

In January 2015, one of them came out. We went back to the doctor to put a new crown on that tooth. And in two days, my son's lower half face was swollen badly. We went back again and was told that that tooth had to be extracted. We went to a different dentist for second opinion and eventually had to get it pulled out. And yesterday, one of the other crown came out again, with the tooth broken inside the crown. And again, this tooth will have to be extracted. Seriously??? 2 bad crowns out of 4 within 4 months? What would happen to the rest 2 crowns??? My son is not even 3 and half and has to suffer so much because of those damn crowns!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DENTIST is all I can say!

Dr. Doshi and her assistant are consummate professionals with excellent bedside manners to put a young child at ease. The practice is ultra-clean, and modern. We didn't have to wait at all, kept our masks on as required, and washed our hands after we were confirmed for our appointment. We were ushered to our dental suite and Dr. Doshi's assistant interviewed us about dental hygiene as we waited for Dr. Doshi to attend to our child. Our child was so at ease with with Dr Doshi, and the examination, cleaning, and fluoride treatment took about 45 minutes from the moment we arrived until we were done. Overall a great experience for our child and we highly recommend this practice for your child's dental care. Our child had a very positive experience at the dentist.
