You know a pediatric dentistry is doing something right when my kids literally BEG me to go to the…read moredentist. Everyone is incredibly friendly and kid oriented. Imagine mixing a preschool teacher with a dentist, that's Shiny Chompers. They welcome new patients by name, and the reception is filled with TV, toys, tablets, and a large fish tank. Parking can be limited, but there is an elevator to take the stroller up to the second floor that the office is located on. They are incredibly thorough and make each session enjoyable and comfortable. They have tvs and sunglasses for kids to use during their dental appointments and always send kids home with a goody bag and token to use at one of the many vending machines filled with prizes in the lobby.

My daughter had a cavity and the Dentist suggested that instead of just giving my daughter a filling , a white cap would look better aesthetically. Trying to get my daughter to hold still for something that took that long was very challenging. This ended up being a two day procedure. I was not forewarned about how difficult this would be for a child her age. Because , of the difficulty ( she was terrified and it took 3 people to hold her to have this done ) the work wasn't done well. This was done to her two front teeth. Although she only had a cavity on one two both were filed , the affected tooth more . Within months the cap fell off.;(3 months) My daughter rarely smiles with her teeth showing since this happened. Before this she always had a big smile. I have taken her to two Dentist since and been told this was totally unnecessary work that was done to her. I know as a Mom this has impacted her self esteem. I thought this was great two women running a Dental Practice. I was referred to them by my regular dentist. But , now almost a year later I realize what a mistake it was to trust this practice. Every time I have to beg my daughter to show to smile big and she won't I think of this. I hope no other child experiences this

Dr. Doshi and her assistant are consummate professionals with excellent bedside manners to put a young child at ease. The practice is ultra-clean, and modern. We didn't have to wait at all, kept our masks on as required, and washed our hands after we were confirmed for our appointment. We were ushered to our dental suite and Dr. Doshi's assistant interviewed us about dental hygiene as we waited for Dr. Doshi to attend to our child. Our child was so at ease with with Dr Doshi, and the examination, cleaning, and fluoride treatment took about 45 minutes from the moment we arrived until we were done. Overall a great experience for our child and we highly recommend this practice for your child's dental care. Our child had a very positive experience at the dentist. A point of note at this time they only allow one parent to come into the practice with a child.

My three year old cried when we had to leave because the experience was so enjoyable. The facility is clean, comfortable, and pleasant with plenty of educational books and interactive toys. We are extremely pleased with all aspects of this organization.

Now, that the practice was taken over by dentistry for children, things have gone from great to horrible. The last visit I had was botched as my child's x-rays weren't sent to another dentistry for children in a timely manner in order to have my child's teeth filled. The practices have an inability to communicate with each other. Worse, the new dentists (at both practices) were unable to fill my child's teeth. And to add insult to injury, the send me a bill without performing any dentistry work. Now, I have to worry that my child feels traumatized and this experience is going to linger and negatively impact his future relationships with other dentists. Personally, I'm also not a fan of the toys they hand out as if it's salve for telling you your child has tons of dental issues which reeks of bilking. Avoid.
