I realized I had never written an updated review, since I had hired Stephanie twice -- plus I recommend her business to anyone who is willing to listen to me! I just wanted to say that on my 2nd shoot with her back in 2014, she shot one of the most precious portraits I will cherish for the rest of my life. Stephanie was willing to entertain my wild idea of doing a shoot with my small dog. The picture she got of my pup is one of my favorite items in my home....and also the background on my phone and all other electronic devices. : ) Stephanie is a phenomenal photographer and a great spirit, and I can't wait to have another professional / personal life event reason to hire her again! read more

I took fellow yelpers advice and hired Stephanie to do my new business photos. I had a vision which other photographers just didn't understand nor really care about. From the first conversation She listened and i could tell she really cared about how I wanted my pictures to look. When I arrived at her studio it was like I new she had been the right choice. Her studio is nice clean and she was very welcoming. Her make up artist Maggie? Amazing! So nice and professional but more important I didn't look or feel all " made up " I looked like a beautiful version of myself! I was blown away with how comfortable Stephanie made me feel and how she had gone above and beyond to fill my need of a wispy fun shoot, she even brought glitter and flower petals and bubbles to insure my photos had the essence I was going for. By far,the best shoot I have ever had! Then I saw the photos WOW! She had them in a video with music format up on a big screen... I cried and giggled with delight as I saw the video of myself ...Holy $&:@:: she nailed my vision! I looked Amazing!! just so you all know I'm in the business of seeing many many photos. I have seen 1000's it is RARE that you find a photographer who captures the spirt of the person they are shooting and that is the key to a great photo. She captured me ..the essence of me in those shots unlike any photographer I have ever worked with and I've worked with many who are considered the best. Stephanie is a true talent with a great eye. Her photos are the best I have ever seen even if they are of myself lol ( it's all in the eyes ) Stephanie makes your eyes speak. If you are looking for photographer who takes her time to capture your true inner beauty, your spirit Stephanie is the one for you ! Stephanie the best photographer Maggie the best make-up artist ...together they are truly an amazing team! read more

The best photos I have ever taken are with Stephanie Simpson. I have had Stephanie shoot every business headshot of mine for over a decade. No one takes a better picture. She is a genius with light and bringing out your personality. Best. Pictures. Ever. read more

Stephanie is simply wonderful and a consummate professional. I was extremely shy during my photoshoot, but Stephanie was an absolute pro at making me feel comfortable in front of the camera lens. For someone as camera shy as me, I was pleasantly surprised at how great the shots came out - which is simply a reflection of how great Stephanie is. I must also add that her makeup artist Maggie is EVERYTHING. Her makeup skills are insane. She will make you look and feel beautiful, so that it can all be captured by Stephanie's camera. Superb team. Fantastic experience. read more

Stephanie has a wonderful personality that makes her a fun person and an even more amazing photographer. I have worked with her both as a model and many times as the makeup artist for the shoots. As a model I will say that she is a blast to work with. She will put you at ease and make the experience fun even if you aren't used to being photographed. Her eye for what looks great is astounding. She adjusts poses based on body type, your favorite features or features you want deemphasized. As a makeup artist, I always love teaming up with her. She is incredibly easy and laid back to work with. While the shoots themselves are wonderful and you will have so much fun, nothing compares to seeing your final prints. You will be amazed at how beautiful they are and I guarantee you will be more than satisfied. I recommend Stephanie for any type of photos you need! read more

+Head shots (headshots) +Photographer for business I suddenly noticed my colleges had professional looking pictures popping up on their LinkedIN, Twitter, Facebook pages and business pitch decks and I remember having this epiphany that I needed to "keep up with the crowd." Simpson Portraits was brilliant. Multiple styled headshots for different audiences. Touched up and resized so I could upload them with ease to different websites. High quality images also provided for print docs. read more

Every woman deserves to have beautiful portraits of themselves! I adore the photographs Stephanie took of me and had a total blast hanging out with her during the shoot. Stephanie is an absolute dream to work with! Being in front of the camera can be intimidating, but after only a few test shots, Stephanie was able to get my guard down and had me completely at ease. She's so good at showing you exactly how to pose so that every part of you looks fantastic. I also loved the variety of photos I got from my shoot with her. She talks through the shoot with you before you start and goes over all the ways you want to be photographed. I got to do a bit of everything from a couple Old Hollywood Veronica Lake type photos, fabulous girly photos in corsets and tulle skirts (She has so many fun corsets, skirts, and accessories at her studio!) to great head shots I can use for business, and of course, plenty of pictures to use as my Facebook profile picture. ;) I highly recommend Simpson Portraits. You'll love your photos and you'll love Stephanie! read more

I needed new headshots taken and luckily I stumbled uponSImpson Portraits! I had a blast shooting with Stephanie and I could not be more pleased with the final product. As an actor, it's important to get headshots that are true to who you are while still showing the range of characters that you are capable of. This can be a tall order for a photographer, but Stephanie stepped right up to the plate. She was thoughtful and encouraging and took the time to talk with me about exactly what looks I needed to get out of our session. She helped me come up with a game plan and then faithfully stuck to it! She was quick, efficient, and an overall pleasure to work with! Not only did she shoot fast, but she went as far as bringing me back for a sit down session to look through the best of my shots and pick the ones that really got the job done! It was amazing! Stephanie is a gifted with the camera, but she is also gifted with people. She takes the time to get to know the actor and helps bring out the best of who you are for the camera. I found her to be friendly and extremely disarming! I HIGHLY recommend Stephanie to any actors looking to get their money's worth out of their headshots! Go with Simpson Portraits, you won't regret it! read more

Stephanie is the more professional, down to earth and helpful photographer I have ever met. She makes you feel so comfortable and natural. Her make up and hair artist Maggie is amazing too! Highly recommend!! read more

Stephanie is absolutely fantastic. I needed headshots (and hate getting my picture taken). Stephanie worked quickly and efficiently, found out the image I needed to project for my business and captured it! I cannot recommend highly enough. read more

Stephanie is a pro. She knows lighting like nobodies business. But first things first.... I was not happy about having to do photos for my companies website. Since I turned 40 I've tried to escape any chance of having my picture taken. I reluctantly went into Stephanie's studio. What an adorable studio it is. You can see she chose the location for the lovely light that streams through the many windows. Her make up gal Maggie (who is lovely and talented in her own right) did my make up and then the shoot started. Stephanie makes you feel comfortable and relaxed, it was only minutes before I settled in and was really into it. It's apparent in the photos that we had fun and that she knows what she's doing. The photos were just beautiful and captured emotion brilliantly. I highly recommend Simpson portraits. I have sent a few of my clients in to see Stephanie and they have all been very pleased. Thank you Stephanie! read more

I recently lost a lot of weight and wanted to take some photos to document my progress. I found Simpson Portraits through some friends who had worked with her and had amazing photos to show for it. I had to work with Stephanie! I was so nervous but she did an amazing job. The pictures looked fantastic, but they also looked like me! She truly captured my personality and helped me feel confident and beautiful. I will definitely be working with her again! read more

I recently got new head shots with Stephanie. Her work is absolutely amazing! Such great quality and very professional. She is great with figuring out ways to get the looks that you want in your head shot and she helps you figure out how to best market yourself for film/television or theater. My pictures turn out great. They were everything I wanted and more! I definitely recommend her for anyone looking to get new photos taken! :) read more

Stephanie at Simpson Portraits is absolutely INCREDIBLE to work with and I'm so thrilled with the photos!!! I'm a performer and I also compete in the Miss America Organization so, I've had my fair share of pictures and head shots taken but, I'm usually never satisfied with the finished product. I LOVED Stephanie's work and she made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Her lighting and editing skills are nothing but professional. I highly recommend her for any of you photography needs :) I hope to work with her again in the future!! read more

Simpson Portraits provided a wonderful experience for my mom and I. You often don't have the opportunity to have professional photos done with loved ones, so when my mom and I had the chance we jumped on it. From the time you walk in the studio (which is beyond gorgeous and perfected with small details) you feel comfortable and relaxed. Stephanie has truly created an atmosphere where you can be yourself, a little silly and have a whole lotta fun! I am one to never like pictures of myself, but Stephanie captured photos that I LOVED. The photos of my mom and I are unbelievable. We couldn't believe someone was able to capture us in this way. I have total confidence in Stephanie & her team (amazing makeup artist and hair stylist;Maggie) that she can capture anyone's true beauty and fun side! Thank you Stephanie, you rock! read more

When you need your portrait to be professional, beautiful and truly reflect your best self, call Stephanie. I've sat with her for three sessions, and even entrusted her to take my daughter's first Christmas pictures. Each time, Stephanie has been beyond kind, super knowledgable and creative, and works overtime to make sure she's got the perfect shots. She really listens to what's important to you, and the effect you hope the finished photos to have. Most important, she wants her clients to be happy. She's a polished professional, and worth every penny. read more

I'm not a fan of being photographed, but Stephanie was really fun to work with and made it such an easy process! The final product was even better! We found so many pictures that we liked that it was hard to choose our favorite! Thank you Stephanie! read more

I can't say enough about Stephanie and the amazing group at Simpson. My daughters and I came in for a Mother/Daughter shoot and we had so much fun. Then, at the end, we called in my husband for some family shots with him in his firefighter uniform. We all felt pampered. Stephanie definitely has a talent, but most importantly, she has a gift. She makes you feel like you are so beautiful. We got some amazing family photos, but also, Stephanie interviewed us on camera about the special relationship between a mother and her daughters. I will cherish this day forever. read more

Stephanie is an extremely talented photographer. Her body of work speaks for itself. She is fun, full of ideas and easy to work with. Stephanie has a great eye for detail and I came in to her studio with a very specific idea in mind of what I wanted. She made it happen. Her studio is warm, welcoming and (oh by the way) gorgeous. I'm literally in awe of the stunning shots she took of my children and of me. I'm over the moon happy with the photographs I bought. Stephanie will be our family photographer and our friend for many years to come. Thanks, Steph!!! You freaking rock!!! read more

The worst customer service after you have paid in full. Tried over 12 times to pick up my order, then was told "her assistant dropped the ball". Called , emailed and never heard from her. Had a friend go by several times who lives in Glendora , always sorry I missed you sign out. $$$$$ then the friend made an appointment for a consult that she actually called back. Then got my pictures over 7 months later. read more

Having started my own consulting firm I was in need of a professionally done executive photo for use on my website & marketing materials. I found Stephanie on Yelp and gave her a call. My requirement was a little unique in that I target both senior executives and younger up and coming managers with my services, so I wanted photos that were relate-able to both. To put it simply, Stephanie NAILED it. We set up a shoot in her studio. I brought some various clothing and the process was not only painless, but fun! Stephanie is a pro who really knows what she's doing. She took what seemed like hundreds of pictures in a one hour session and I ended up with many to choose from. BUT, there is one in particular that she somehow captured and it nailed EXACTLY my unique requirement of addressing two target audiences and it could not be better! She got that shot I was looking for! If you want creative, exceptionally well done work by a pro, with a rapid turnaround time, you've got to give Stephanie a call. read more
