They are super strict about the 5 minute grace period. (Yes- 5 minutes). They front desk person was telling me how she was just about to cancel me as I walked in at 10:46. My appointment was 10:40. But because it was my first time, "you get a pass." This is one star off just because 5 minutes is a little intense. I wouldn't mind a 15 min? But 5 min? Esp when parking is either street or a 2 min walk from a parking lot. Vanessa was the tech that worked with me. She was really nice. Talked stories to make you feel comfortable. Told you breathing exercises and stuff. She had a decent amount of pressure. Took note of pressure points and sensitive areas. One thing I didn't like- was not being able to have the option to "check" till the very end. When I was done, I took a look in the mirror, and noticed sparse hairs that didn't get picked up from the sugar. But I couldn't do anything about it since we were done. When I got home to wash up, I felt pain on my skin. And that's usually normal for me because I have sensitive skin. But it's been a day- and still felt pain. Which is new. Noticed I had cuts. Like my skin was pulled off. And this is missed during a wax because waxing is already painful. This is the first time ever that my skin got pulled off during a sugar wax experience. The last time this happened was when I had hard wax... Overall- this is an alright place to check out if you want to try sugaring.

Note: It's best to research "who" has experience doing lashes. I had a very painful experience with tape being applied directly to the skin under my eyes. Tech offered that option so I wouldn't need the patches to fasten down lower lashes. Well....when the lashes were done, the tape would NOT come off from under my eyes. It's like it was glued on. It took a long time for it to be pulled off, and my skin was extremely red and puffy (tech said, "actually, it's pink"). I'm continuing to have sore skin under my eyes, and it has been close to 24 hours. Long story short--they're such nice people, but clients--do your research. I found in very little time with Google that "tape" problems are one of the items that cause clients discomfort. I can assure you I had anxiety, stress, and discomfort---and am continuing to have some. I'm updating this review: There should have been serious follow-up help from the tech or the owner of this business. My facial with Terril was very relaxing. We went into the treatment room and discuss what my concerns were with my skin and what I was hoping to get out of my appointment. Terril was very attentive, asking questions along the way. One thing I really liked was that the table was heated because I've been having some issues with my back that make it uncomfortable to lay down so having that heated surface under my back made my appointment even more relaxing. My skin felt amazing when she was done, even though she had to do a few extractions. I was so pleased that I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for a few months out so that my skin will be able to recover from the upcoming summer months.
