Picture this: you step inside a life-sized holographic North Pole, wearing lightweight AR glasses, tossing virtual snowballs, collecting ornaments, helping Santa save Christmas, and discovering festive surprises along the way. It's part game, part holiday movie, and all-around magical. From their website: "Deck the Holograms is a family-friendly augmented reality adventure that transports you inside a life-sized holographic North Pole...an unforgettable shared experience for families, friends, and believers of all ages." Yup, it's exactly that -- and it totally lives up to the hype. We did the experience as a pair, and it was so much fun together. Plus, we got 3 hours of free arcade play included with our tickets for $34.99 per person, which honestly feels like a steal. We even spent a little time in the arcade before jumping into the AR adventure, which was a nice warm-up. The story itself was surprisingly thoughtful -- it made us reflect on being present in the moment during the holidays instead of getting lost in our phones. It's playful, immersive, and yes, totally enjoyable for 40+ year olds too. Plenty of parking, plenty of space to move around, and the whole experience is cozy and warm inside -- perfect for a chilly December night. We booked our tickets from the parking lot on the last Friday before Christmas and had no trouble snagging the 8pm time slot we wanted. Overall, it's a low-impact, warm, immersive, and joyful way to celebrate the season. If you're looking for something different, memorable, and just plain fun, do yourself a favor and check out Deck The Holograms -- you won't regret it!

I had never done pre production before so I didn't know such a place existed. I was really fascinated by this place and it was really interesting considering it was in the middle of nowhere! We spent three days here and the pods are connected directly to the venue - it's very interesting how the place is set up identical to a stage. The place is well maintained and we also had the catering that they served here as well. It was prerty good in terms of hotel catering food. Thanks to the hospitality of the Rock Lititz team, we were able to have a great time here! Though it's in the middle of nowhere, it was still nice to be able to experience this kind of place! Truly a unique experience.

(Lady) and she was very quirt with me, not real polite during our conversation. Apparently, they require quite a bit of requirements to qualify for Government customers. So, I would say if your Military or Government, it's not worth the effort to stay here. I had to for-go the effort and pay FULL PRICE ($230/night). Which I did, but in hindsight, would not have done it again. Why? Because it is just not worth that in Lititz, PA. There are so many other Hotels and Properties that are quite a bit less and just as nice. They have a cool Rock theme, but that is not worth the advanced cost. It means nothing to me really, that they have a sound stage business nearby that people cant/dont see because it is in a building out back with no windows. Apparently, it is for stage productions to come and "test" or build their stage prior to the show going out on the road, again, means nothing to me. The hotel was filled with "Roadies" types who worry about lights, sound and stage stuff, not really my crowd. If they had a video feed of the action in the non descript. bldg, it would have been a tad more interesting. There was no fire-pits, no outdoor heaters, no nothing really to enjoy a drink and cigar outside. There is a bldg across the parking lot with a small bar and other production related shops (Guitar tuners, etc...), but nothing worth going there for. I didn't know what what inside because the building had not signs or indications of what was in there, just a big black exterior. Zzzzzzz.... Now, the rooms, they were ok, clean and tidy - decent lobby, small hotel bar, but nothing to write home about. Outside, nothing...... They had a small pool inside slightly bigger that my hot tub, whooppeee... So, if you want to spend too much money to stay in quiant little Lancaster PA, then stay here or you want to socialize with other Roadies, then knock yourself out. It's only worth it if your Company is paying or your a Roadie wanting to network. For all us others, then better off to pick one of the many other fine establishments, save a few bucks and go about your Lancaster trip with all the other many things to do. Basically, cost was to much, for too little return for me, just saying...

Great to work with!…read more I can't say enough about Shumaker. They did the lighting for our daughter's wedding and it involved last minute changes due to the weather forecast. I called them on Thursday (wedding was Saturday) and they were so obliging, even though they had other weddings that day, too. The day of set up, they called me from the site because they saw an issue with the tents that were being set up (a different company). They discussed their concerns with the tent people and together they worked it out perfectly. This was above and beyond Shumaker's call of duty. It rained on the big day but all was well because of Shumaker! Great people to work with!

From inception to execution, Dustin was the consummate professional, working diligently to ensure that our daughter's dreams of an "in-door garden wedding" came to fruition. Seeking input from us, our wedding planner, Briana Dixon of Nouvelle Weddings, Kaci Willwerth, the wedding coordinator at the Inn at Leola Village, and Tracie Boyer, the Inn at Leola Village's floral designer, he was able to transform our ideas into reality using his amazing design talents. Beginning early in the morning of the wedding day, he and his team brought trees, bushes, plants, flowers, soil, mulch, sod, stone pavers, bricks, fountains and landscape lighting inside the Casa di Fiori, transforming it into a truly magical venue that really had to be seen to be believed. The result exceeded even our highest expectations and there honestly was not a single thing that could have been improved upon. Every guest commented on the amazing "fairy tale garden" atmosphere of the venue. Needless to say, we were delighted with all aspects of our interactions with Dustin and his team and we are confident in stating with certainty that if you are in need of a motivated, talented, creative and quality-driven event planning team, you need look no further than Shumaker & Associates! - Ann & Bill Unwin, York,PA

We cannot stop talking about how truly perfect the day was because of David! His attention to detail and organizational skills and ability to truly create our vision amazed myself and all of our guests! Everyone could not stop raving about how gorgeous the setup was and how seamless the transitions were from one phase of the wedding to the next- that was absolutely a reflection of all of David's work and love that he put into the space! When it came to the rehearsal, it is common that wedding coordinators can be pushy, humorless, and impatient. David was anything but. Preparing and instructing two dozen people (including little children) to be ready for the big day can be a stressful task and David demonstrated only tact and professionalism. He was assertive and clear on what needed to be done and was respectful to everyone involved. David had recommended that my husband and I see the reception area prior to the guests. It was such a special moment for us to share together in the beautiful space he had created. He is also the most prepared person I've ever met. There was not a single scenario that he was not ready for and did not have a solution for. I could write on and on about how vital David was in making our day one we will truly never ever forget!!!

Ruth and her team were phenomenal throughout the entire experience and we couldn't have asked for a better event planner who listened to our endless questions, suggestions and small complaints to try and make it as great as we could. I had no clue what I was doing when planning an event this big but our wedding weekend, Ruth had four weddings in total so she is clearly a PRO at this. We had to book over a year in advance so if you are reading my review and don't have a summer weekend already locked up for a date you are looking for in a month or two, it's probably not going to happen. It's a popular spot and will only get more so as people learn about this new location for weddings. Set back off the main road in a very rural area, the barn itself holds 200 guests and you can have pretty much your entire wedding day on site, from the ceremony to an outdoor cocktail hour and then into the barn for the reception itself. I've posted some professional pics for people to see the true beauty of both the inside and out. Parking is easy for all of your guests as they are guided to a giant lawn behind the barn itself, hidden away from the beauty out front. There is also a Bed & Breakfast on site that can be rented by guests or even your wedding party. I got changed in the old butcher room (a sign?) while my wife was able to get dressed in the bridal suite on site. Pretty much all of your needs are here, you just need to bring booze and guests. Ruth has been in the catering business for years and her hubby is a culinary chef in the top echelon for Columbia County. From exotic seafood options to standard, PA Dutch food for the area, your needs (eeerrr wants) for your menu are easily met by a wide variety of options. And, it's freaking delicious. Drawbacks of the location are that it has no AC or heat.....so if it's an early August 95 degree day, you're going to melt. It got down into the 50's on our wedding night and it was slightly chilly inside, just glad there were enough people there to keep the temp up enough to not have people freeze to death. It's also hilly in some spots so when the rain came down, it was slick for people and the outdoor location had to be moved indoors for the ceremony as it wasn't allowed because of people being able to loose their footing. If you want to impress your guests and have them talking for a shoestring budget, at least in comparison to prices we were finding in metropolitan areas, you won't be disappointed.

Our daughter wanted to have a "teen nightclub" themed dance party for her 14th birthday! At that age it's really challenging to find a venue for a great party that is safe and supervised, but also, crazy fun! Rachael helped us put together a party that was the "talk of the school" event! Everyone was buzzing about this party! Rachael, with the help of some other fantastic companies, like LEO party rentals, and BELLY caterers put together a very reasonably priced and very trendy dance party for Emma and her friends. It was so easy to plan, and even easier to sit back and enjoy the kids having a fantastic time! We couldn't have planned this terrific event without her! Rachael helped us coordinate with everyone. She sat down with me to brainstorm many times before the party, and took care of everything. The tiniest of details were covered! All of the event was kept within a very reasonable budget! We would also like to send a thank you out to the Goggleworks for their terrific, and very trendy "loft" like room, for the party location. The dj " DJ JG" John Gosselin was also a fantastic addition to the party! He knew exactly what music the kids wanted to hear. Everyone danced the entire night! Thank you Rachael for making this night so memorable for Emma, and us too! If your thinking of planning a party for your teenage daughter you should contact Rachael! She will really impress you!
