My friend works there and I have dropped by a few times to support her, and local artisans and vendors who have their merchandise on display. On Sunday, I visited this Arts Market in the Junction. I was here a year ago and wanted to go in this store, but never got around to it. After meeting up with a couple of friends, I dropped by with one of my friends before she had to catch her bus. I liked a lot of items in this store. The plants by the window were cheerful. I like greeting cards. This place had so many creative, funny, punny ones. I also liked the lip balms, including root beer and wild grape. I spent the most time looking at old records. Strawberry Shortcake. Mousercise. Go West. Tom Jones. I loved looked at each one. I ended up getting two records: - Spoons - Cliff Richard and the Shadows The Spoons are my jam. Canadian. 80's. Awesome! My mom has always loved Cliff Richard. He had a backing band called the Shadows. Cliff Richard is still singing in his 80's. I found a pair of heart-shaped earrings that I liked. I had to get them. There was a woman who was chatting with two staffers for at least ten minutes. I heard her while I was looking at the record selection. I suspect that she's a regular customer. Both staffers were nice. One asked if the earrings were a gift. Not to anyone -- just me. They liked that answer. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. They asked me if I needed a bag. I declined, as I could easily walk with my items to my car across the street. I loved being here. I'm so glad that I finally checked it out. If you look down, you can see some sidewalk art. It's a nice touch. (83)

I love the jewellery in there, and found recycled silverware as bracelets and rings. I like the bags in there - straw ones, great recycled sari robes, and it is really nice to shop, with totes and interesting items which are perfect as gifts.

I wandered in there with a vague notion that they would probably carry glass water bottles. And they do. But they also carry all kinds of environmentally respectful cute and useful items like jewelry, stationary, journals, beauty products, baby stuff, etc etc etc.. Granted, the stuff doesn't come cheap - this is for the gauche bourgeousie - but it's all solid goods that are worthwhile investments. Examples: - reusable lunch containers in stainless steel and bpa free plastic - recycled beer bottle glasses (which I purchased as a host gift for my brother) - water bottles by all those chic envirotype companies - greeting cards that double as coasters -reusable lunch bags There's lots more but i can't really remember. I walked in for a water bottle and walked out with the bottle, the beer glasses and a lunchbox with robots on it for my son. If he doesn't like it, I'll gladly use it. Sales people are super-helpful. I'll be back - you should check it out too!

This store is for folks who love to write, do calligraphy, or have a fondness for fountain pens and decent stationery. It is heaven and deadly. I decided not to go in. I knew that if I did, I'd be there for hours, wanting every fountain and calligraphy pen, and every ink imaginable. I love fountain and calligraphy pens. I am content with the pens that I have, so I did some window-browsing instead. I noticed Blackwing pencils on a desk close to the window. They aren't cheap! A single pencil will cost you $40. My not entering this store was a wise choice. Blackwing pencils are special in that they use high-quality graphite that rarely breaks. It is made of incense-cedar wood that makes sharpening it easy. There's a rectangular eraser on top, likely for flair. It's still crazy expensive for a pencil! If you are looking for a fancy writing instrument or quality paper, this store is for you. I was happy browsing from afar. If I do win the lottery, you'll find me here buying everything. (490)
